This kid is really, really good. Does he have any issues? No, then you take him. His dad acts up in carver or elsewhere, boot him. His brother comes in with the chain gang, boot him. If he himself acts up, boot him. I assure you that even a great kid can make a mistake and ruin his life. If this kid hasn’t done anything like his brother has been accused of, then he’s still a good kid and deserves every opportunity he’s worked hard for. End of discussion.
Not so sure on the brother part?
According to the pics that were posted on Twitter, he already did...
Well this could get really interesting now couldn't it? Stevenson was accused of worse as I remember it. Yet he was cleared and went on to having just about everyone giving him a full pass!?!?!
There are differences and some similarities to the situations both these kids were in. In my opinion, both acted like horses asses with antics that I do not approve of on the mat. I do not like ANY of the BS that seems to be more and more common place in sports at all levels now.
Some coaches obviously address it and make sure that their players get the message that it will not be tolerated. Other coaches you can tell do not. Obviously at the Pro level it has become a pure sh*t show! Unfortunately, it is all about the $$$$ and the new generation of dumb ass who actually watch the crap and support it, think it is so cool.
Shoot a basket, make a tackle, jump up and do the jive seems to be all the rage. It has trickled down and I now see it in youth sports believe it or not. It goes on and on and even when the jack ass won NCAAs and started flexing, I said it was BS and others on here and else where thought it was great!?!?!
All this being said, according to 82bordeaux, from what he saw on Twitter, the kid didn't get charged? Now who knows what is going on, but if you had a face to face pow wow and laid down the law. Something like
"Look, we like the young guy and want to offer him a FULL RIDE!!! We would also consider bringing in AJ. He would sign up for classes second semester. Live in a dorm. Go to classes, wrestle(practice ONLY), go back to his dorm and study. That is what he would do PERIOD!!! If he makes it through a semester, we will consider putting him on the team."
