#10,000 Pages Dolphins Super Bowl Champs

Flores handcuffed Tua much like Jimmy Johnson handcuffed Dan Marino in the last 4 years of his career. Big O went into detail about this earlier on his show, especially the JJ/Marino part.

Some important numbers...

The elevator for the Dolphins offices at Joe Robbie Stadium. Hopefully Flores saw this on his way out the door.

Reason elaborated on this yesterday. He said that Tua, standing up for both himself and the team, said something to the effect of "you can't treat people like this."

Flores never wanted Tua and sabotaged him from the first day he arrived at the Dolphins campus.

Reason said yesterday that Tua was tested four times for PEDs between April and September of 2020. He told Richmond Webb this and Richmond said that they only test that frequently when you have already tested positive for PEDs.

Tua's camp, the player's association and some in the organization believe it was Flores who tipped the league, basically SWATtng Tua, causing him to be tested repeatedly. This not a story anywhere in the media. However, Reason has good sources and when he mentions things, the story usually gains traction within a week or two.

I've learned to not listen to a single rumor. I hope its Harbaugh. His NFL record is 44-19-1 and the 49ers were 6-10 the year before he took over. And with Kaepernick at QB for most of those games.

I would be ok with Harbaugh. My first choice is the old Lions/Colts coach but it appears he is not in play. The team reached out to interview the Bills OC who was Tua's OC for the year he sat behind Hurts at Alabama. The Bills QB has shown significant growth under his coaching.

He's supposed to be a genius (so was Gase), but he doesn't call the plays. Not that the head coach needs to. But is this guy ready to lead a team?

Good question. First impression is that his people skills are considerably better than Gase, or Flores. That short video shows more communication skills than any Dolphins head coach coach since Dan Campbell.

Big O says Dabol is the current leader by far. My guess is the Dolphins aren't releasing much info about who they are interviewing and when b/c likely to be significant competition for Dabol and they don't want to get roasted any more than they have recently.

If they don't hire a black coach, they are racist or so I have been told.

Venus Williams and Serena Williams (first two AA part owners of an NFL team), Chris Grier (GM), Reggie McKenzie (Sr Personnel Exec) and Marvin Allen (Asst GM) say hi to anyone calling the Dolphins racist.

DVP shows support for Tua on Instagram. He is the fourth starter to support Tua on social media (Waddle, Geseki and X Howard) since the end of the season. It would be nice if DVP would support Tua by being healthy for more than a handful of games and limit his loafing on routes.

Would be a bit disappointed if either Frazier or Daboll end up at a division rival, but both guys will get a HC job somewhere soon.

Ross sure is taking his sweet time.

If he had decided to fire Flores, you'd think he would have already had someone in his back pocket.

Giants makes the most sense with Daboll, as they just hired their GM from the Bills.

I would be very disappointed if he takes Ken Dorsey. Why would you go to be OC for Daniel Jones on a terrible team, with an offensive head coach calling the plays, when you could be OC for Josh Allen and a SB contender, and have control of the offense under a defensive HC?

If Dorsey goes to the Giants with Daboll, either because the Bills let him or because he thinks that's a better opportunity, that portends bad things for my Bills...

On Reason's show last night, he said that coaches are avoiding Miami because they believe that Grier will be replaced in a year or two. He said that Ross listens to Tom Garfinkel who runs the business side of the franchise and that Garfinkel told him to keep Grier.

He also said Dan Quinn is very likely to take the Broncos job.

Rumors and Sources. I learned a long time ago to not pay any attention to all these "insiders"

It’s Harbaugh, they just have to blow smoke and pretend they’re respecting the Rooney Rule.

THE MIAMI DOLPHINS’ HEAD COACHING POSITION IS THE MOST DESIRABLE OPENING IN THE NFL AT THE MOMENT!

So, Dan Quinn, Mike McDaniel, Brian Daboll... listen up. Here’s my pitch to get you to come to South Florida and lead one of the most storied franchises in NFL history.

  1. The Dolphins’ defense is set.

While it may be true that Miami’s offense needs a lot of work – that’s where you come in – the Dolphins’ defense is a lights-out unit that will require virtually no tweaking to continue their dominance going forward. With pieces like Xavien Howard, Byron Jones, Jevon Holland, Jerome Baker, Zach Sieler, Jaelan Phillips, Christian Wilkins in the mix, and the ability to bring back pass-swatting EDGE defender, Emmanuel Ogbah, you’d be hard pressed to find a better core on the defensive side of the football from the coaching openings that are currently out there. Let them run the same scheme that they mastered during the second half of the 2021 season, and you’ll be able to focus most of your attention on the offensive side of the ball.

2. The Dolphins have the most amount of cap space heading into the offseason, and have the ability to clear even more if you so desire.

According to overthecap.com, the Miami Dolphins have the most amount of cap space heading into the 2022 offseason, sitting at $70,237,252 to spend. The next closest team – Jacksonville – didn’t even crack the $60mil mark. Want to fix the offensive line? Go buy one in free agency! Want a veteran wide receiver to pair with our record-setting first rounder, Jaylen Waddle? Spend away! Interested in bringing in a veteran QB to challenge or even replace Tua Tagovailoa? We’ve got the big bucks for that! Your wish is our command, Coach.

3. You can fix Tua Tagovailoa, or replace him. Your choice!

In 2022, you’ll get the chance to develop one of the most exciting college quarterbacks of all time, Tua Tagovailoa, but if that doesn’t pan out, we have two first round draft picks in 2023. You’ll get the opportunity to pick his replacement. The potential rookie QBs in the 2022 draft really don’t look all too appealing anyway, but in 2023, the class looks much better. If Tua doesn’t become who we believe he can become, you’ll have your pick of the litter just a year from now.

4. Florida doesn’t have state income tax.

You like money. I like money. Who doesn’t like money? Come to Florida and coach our Miami Dolphins and you wont be paying any state income tax. Save your pennies while enjoying good food, great weather, sandy beaches and more. Sure, Minnesota has... a big mall? Las Vegas has... a lot of smoke-filled casinos? Chicago has... a beach... on a lake. I think I’ve made my point. We’ll be waiting with a mojito in hand.

I listened to Reason's show last night. He says the fact that we are slow walking this thing is that they are waiting for someone. The SFO OC is one possibility and he suspects the other is Harbaugh. He pointed out that Harbaugh hasn't signed his new contract. His DC is headed back to the Baltimore Ravens. He thinks next week is significant because of national signing day (clearly he doesn't follow college football like most of us here) and that Harbaugh doesn't want to bolt on his alma mater until the class is signed.

National signing day isn't what it used to be but most fans don't know that. Ross is clearly waiting for someone and he has wanted Harbaugh for 10 years.

Wouldn't bolting after the class is signed be worse? Doesn't seem like a good time to leave a team on good terms in that regard.
