Aside from the Little Rock debacle there are some great potential story lines at this weight specifically. If seeding holds we’ll get a Soldier Salute rematch between AJ Ferrari and Zach Glazier. Also in round 2 we could have a battle between 6th and 11 seeded Stout brothers. Have two brothers wrestled each other at NCAAs before?

AJF is an interesting storyline all by himself. The caliber of wrestling is one thing. The behavioral outbursts take things to another level.
If they had a most likely to win a title and/or be arrested category he could take that.

He's working on it. He recently gave an interview about improving his vanity and improving as a human. There is one caveat, he was wearing an AJ Ferrari shirt while discussing that he tone done his vanity.

He’s trying to sell them, so it’s marketing.

Adding to my list of criteria for him to get a meeting with Beth would be to forfeit his match to SB in the semi's. That would show some real progress. 😂
In all seriousness, AJ was the one 197lber I was hoping Buchanan could avoid until the finals. He is so hard to take down and is an elite rider. He will be tough to beat if it goes to rideouts.

He’s a con artist.
For being such a self proclaimed expert on all proclivities AJ Ferrari, have you ever even met the guy? Seems awfully hard to accurately judge and predict his every move if you haven't...

In all fairness - its a pretty fair and accurate portrayal of a young man who has said these very same things prior to multiple incidents.

Until proven otherwise (with time, really) - he's a con artist. We've see this act before. Especially the Christianity part.

Sorry. I never liked Nancy Grace and, to me, what nearly every internet warrior that hates AJ is doing is the exact same thing she does/did. Judging someone from the cheap seats based on only what you see on TV/Internet.

I get not liking him. But, I try not to fully judge someone unless I actually know the person or have irrefutable evidence(again, to me, charges that ended up being dropped is NOT irrefutable). Even then, the guy has been in California for nearly a year now. How in the hell would you actually know if he has changed or not? Maybe he has changed 2% or maybe even 90%.

With that said, I think there is enough out there to form an opinion where you just don't want the guy around your things. Past that....

He's a con artist. I'm sorry, but he just is.

Saying that is no worse than those who so ardently believe he's changed his spots in the past year.
There is a difference between stating an opinion and posing it as fact. That is the only reason I said anything to you. You don't know the guy, whatsoever....It's simply too easy to judge someone in today's landscape when you really don't remotely have the first hand information to do so.

You don’t have to know someone in person to make a decision about them, particularly in AJ’s case where there is so much publicity around him. Yes- information on the TV and internet is valid. Saying otherwise is just an excuse to obfuscate.

We make decisions all the time about people we don’t know. Heck, I voted for president based on information I saw on TV and the internet. By your silly logic, I shouldn’t make a voting decision without sitting down with each candidate and getting to know them personally.

Do I need to get you the book called, "How to Read More Betterer!"??? My argument was very simple and straightforward. It was the difference between stating an opinion and posing it as fact. Hell, I literally said you have enough data to form an opinion where you simply don't want him around you or your things.

Also, the President comment is beyond ridiculous. The amount of data available to you about him DWARFS what you see for AJ and most of those sources are thoroughly vetted. What you see about AJ, for the most part, is spurred on by those that already have a negative opinion.

The only concrete, irrefutable negatives out there for AJ is that he gave the finger to a crowd that booed him and drove recklessly. Both of which Tiger Woods did as well...are you sure he is a con artist as well? Everything else is pretty much rumors and innuendo unless you are actually inside a circle to confirm them.

Tiger Woods was ABSOLUTELY a con artitst. lol.

LOL. I am just saying it is way too easy to form an opinion of someone based on such limited, and often skewed information. Unless you actually know the person, I just have a really hard time when someone acts like they do, especially when everything they say about that person is extremely negative...

There are plenty of "bad guys" in athletics - you just don't hear about them because most don't reach the highest levels of success.

This x1000. A couple of the best wrestlers I have ever known were heavy drinkers, partiers and had their share of bar fights and worse. It comes down to the team make-up on whether or not that hurts team chemistry or, luckily in my case, doesn't even phase it.

In fact, I am pretty sure there were some Iowa teams under Gable back in the day where, with today's social media, they would almost certainly have had plenty of guys end up front page news for some rather nefarious late night dealings...

Just take the “L”
LMFAO, the L for what exactly? What did I actually say that was wrong? The entire gist of my posts on this topic center solely around opinion vs. fact. If you don't even know the damn guy, there is not remotely the data out there to say the guy IS something vs. saying you THINK he is something.

Words matter...To be clear, if you said you don't like the guy based on what you have seen of him on tv or the internet, I wouldn't argue. If you take EVERY opportunity to unequivocally state he is a terrible person, based on the exact same data, I am going to call you out on that...

You try really hard to be the most unlikeable person on this forum

Depends on your personality and how serious you take me. But, I have openly admitted I don't come here to make friends. If you don't like my posts or how I post, you are 100% welcome to ignore them. It may make you much happier and won't bother me in the slightest!

Oh. Sorry.

My opinion, along with about 99% of everyone else, is that he's a shit stain con artist.

Is that better?

I went to school at Iowa in the early to mid 80's. Enough said. How "bad" they were I have no true idea. But models of decorum one and all - no.

buchannon is good at out maneuvering his opponents, to set up his shots.

but cardenes is so talented and solid SB couldn't do much of anything to him.

AJ might be a similar situation for SB.
