I'm not sure a 165 lb. kid would be considered tough if he grew up someplace other then New York. We know that strength is a point of emphasis for the Hawks and I wouldn't expect this to be a solution.
I have no idea if any of these offers are going to be the pg solution for the Hawks but toughness likely means defensive intensity in this case.
This may be a great offer, but I can hear the outrage if 6'3" 225 guards successfully post him up. A quick defensive specialist with ball skills that allow him to penetrate can certainly fill a need for the Hawks, but to expect him to set a standard for toughness is probably unfair and unrealistic for the recruit.

There it is. Joe Touissant, looks like a tough NY kid. Think this is what Iowa could use. We’ll see
How many 6’3” 225 guards are there in the Big Ten?
Looks like Fran is throwing a Hail Mary and trying to find anyone. Throwing out a lot of offers, I just hope it’s the right fit. I don’t want a player who comes for 1 year and then leaves. Need to get a player who will stay in the system and develop w/teammates.
The kid from the Bronx looks like the real deal. Any player from the Bronx is gonna be tough. I just worry that he will come for 1 year and then leave.
Was there ever offers for Andre Gordon and Noah Hutchins??
Based on tapes, I am surprised Fran hasn't offered Gordon, who is a tough athlete with pretty good instincts and developing ball skills.No. Not yet.
This exactly. We aren't talking about running backs or safeties.
These are the type of guys Fran should have been going after for past 7 years instead of the Brady Ellingsons and CWs and Huttons and Flemmings. Get them on campus and if they blossom, you have a stud....if they flop, run them off the squad like every other coach does in NCAA.
It doesn't look that way at all to me. It looks to me as if the staff is being very careful to offer only the guys they think can really help and being very selective. I don't see this as a "hail Mary" in any way, shape or form.Looks like Fran is throwing a Hail Mary and trying to find anyone. .
Does everyones concern mean we wouldn't have liked to have had Tyler Ulis all of a sudden? I mean wasn't he like 5'8" or something?I'm not sure a 165 lb. kid would be considered tough if he grew up someplace other then New York. Since it seems to be difficult for Iowa to get a pg, do we take 2 of these guys if they would commit?

Yes please. It's a guards game. I say we go guard heavy vs big heavy
This same thought has gone through my head but in the end I don’t think that they take two....I think that the roster and next years potential recruits dictate otherwise....just my wild azz guess.
I like the kid from NY and the one from Saint Louis best....
Revisionist history and hindsight is 20/20. On the day those guys signed people dreamed of them reaching the fullest potential and being studs. That is the same thing you are doing dreaming about these new offers.
Link? The day Fran offered Ellingson, I said wtf. Same with Flemming.
