Your conference tourney is pretty tough when you have a NCAA finals rematch from last year in the semis of the conference tournament.
Warner vs Dean makes me want to never watch wrestling again.
Warner will never win if he gives up 1 takedown.
What a boring 97 match. Dean is beatable but idk if it’s by Warner this year.
Warner is maybe the most frustrating Iowa career ever to watch… cannot get out of his own way or head.
Not that it matters but waiting to warn Dean for stalling with 10s left is such a ****ing joke.
At what point did Cassioppi go from majoring Kerk to having little to no chance to beat him?
When Kerk grew up and became a monster.
At BTT last year I turned to my buddy and said that's the last time Tony beats Kerk. You can see he's improved in every area and Tony is pretty much still the same guy he has been.
Was cassioppi looking to the crowd during that takedown? Almost like he wasn't paying attention
Once Kerk grew into his body. Kerk and Parris are too big and athletic now for Cass.
The Hawks have no chance of beating PSU until 197 and 285 can reverse the results. We are so close, but yet so far away. 174 thru heavy ( and 133 this year) cancel out everything we gain from 125-165.
Out coached at heavy. I hate it, but it’s obvious.

Why would Cass start down for the 3rd? Showing no sign of being able to escape
In his career Cass has beat everyone below #3. Anyone above that and he gets dominated. Such a weird career.
Yep. We need a better upper weight coach for 84/97/285.
Kerk grew, Cass shrunk. Seems like a good recipe!
I'm no expert, but choosing down seems like a really bad strategy. Cass was ridden out to end the previous 2 periods

If we’re not recruiting elite athletes at the upper weights then we’re doing it wrong.
When is the last time the upper weights had this bad of a performance? We clearly need to find someone who knows how to coach and develop them better.
Or we just need to recruit guys who either don't come in undersized or end up becoming undersized compared to the top competition by the end of their careers................
I see no benefit what so ever in going down there. The same ride, the same result. Either take neutral or work on escaping the ankle ride Tom. Kinda a head scratcher.
It's a stubborn auto-bottom (alernatively Frank Molinaro) mentality. Like getting stuck to the mat another 2:00 is gonna help him the next time around.

Apparently you haven't watched Iowa wrestling for too many years.
Kerk is at a completely different level now. Rolling with Snyder for 2 years pays major dividends.
