Thanks for the clarification. I thought I’d missed something and don’t really know the guys in question. I don’t usually play stupid. I’m good enough at being the reel deal most of the time. He's saying 1 win, 2 losses, does not place.

I think he debated all the other guys in his class about who to ask, they all went opposite, and he forgot the essence of the debate and failed to pull the trigger at all.He spent too much time debating which girl to ask.
I think he asked a girl, she accepted and then he asked her if it was OK for his little brother to tag along and practice knife juggling in the back seat on the way to prom.I think he debated all the other guys in his class about who to ask, they all went opposite, and he forgot the essence of the debate and failed to pull the trigger at all.
I would NOT count him then. But, Chittum had GRADUATED and was IN the room for a season. That is demonstrably different...
Classic.Did you already forget that you counted Jesuroga?
NopeIs there any realistic chance that Penn Stats doesn’t win the national championship again ? Are there scenarios where Iowa could unseed them. ?
I love how much my posts matter to you. I especially like that you mixed in yet another completely inaccurate assumption.Classic.
It's a game of whack a mole where you never know how many holes you'll end up dealing with before you're told "Have a nice day."
BTW I am already on record stating he doesn't remember one post to the next, so I've come to expect no less.
Did you already forget that you counted Jesuroga?
I have no problem leaving him out. But, he is a rather unique situation. He didn’t de commit and go somewhere else. He decided to quit wrestling altogether. So it’s not like they lost him to another team. If he was going to wrestle it would have almost certainly been for Iowa.
But, still I never argued heavily for him and will concede him with no issue. The argument was more about them recruiting better and much more consistently over the years anyway. Jesuroga deciding he no longer wanted to wrestle doesn’t change that in my opinion…
He didn’t mean 1st or 2nd; he meant going 1-2, as in one win at NCAAs.Do we really have a chance on having a 197’er wrestling on Saturday night. If so, I had no idea.
Well, I’m picking up what he was putting down, finally. I like to eat glue….He didn’t mean 1st or 2nd; he meant going 1-2, as in one win at NCAAs.
Yeah, I really hope Ayala and Franek out perform my predictions. Ayala has to prove it and stay healthy. I think a 100% healthy Ayala is top 5 and a serious title contender. I went 5th for Franek because last year was the outlier. He did take 4th but the previous 3 years he failed to reach the podium. I think Shapiro and Haines make the finals and Robb, Teemer, Franek, Lewan, Andonian and Scott are all about on the same level. Cardenas and Chittum will be right there close to that 2nd tier as well.Think fair but low end on several.
Ayala should do better if healthy
Task can not argue too much but would love to see him AA
Woods hell yea
Voinovich you would know better then me
Franek I believe will be better, or is it I hope?
Caliendo and/or Kennedy for 65/74 IF Brands does not win back his year? Would be happy with those places
184-197-Heavy, praying for a miracle and for getting Big Cass back!
You can’t bet in iowaBet is that the Hawks don’t finish in the top five?
You can’t bet in iowa.
Evidently you can’t but I’m not from Iowa. You can’t bet in iowa

My thoughts as well. Think this lineup scores Iowa the most points at NCAAsNow here are my predictions with the gamblers in the line up.

Brands 5th up at 184 is a big ask. I think being at the right weight is important for his style. Now here are my predictions with the gamblers in the line up.

Nelson beat Plott last year for 5th. Plott is currently ranked 4th at 184. IMO 184 will be the weakest weight in the country with Brooks and Hidlay up at 197. Nelson has wrestled this weight before. He's not your typical 6th year senior who has been wrestling since they were 5. Nelson started wrestling late, I want to say around 6th grade, I could be wrong. Look at the current rankings at 184 and tell me you don't think Brands can make the podium.Brands 5th up at 184 is a big ask. I think being at the right weight is important for his style.
Also something to keep in mind, we've generally seen regression for 6th+ year guys, not just at Iowa, but across the country. We shouldn't be shocked if guys like Brands and Cass have down years, especially with the suspension turmoil that's been over their heads for months. Assad's only a 5th year, but he's been through the ringer with injuries his whole career, so I'd add him too.
Not out of the realm of possibility. 184 has really cleared out. Alternatively, the last match he wrestled at 184, he got majored by Gavin Kane, who is ranked 6th.Nelson beat Plott last year for 5th. Correction here - in 2021, Nelson lost to Gavin's brother, Devin, who has since graduated.Alternatively, the last match he wrestled at 184, he got majored by Gavin Kane, who is ranked 6th.
Good catch. Thank you.Correction here - in 2021, Nelson lost to Gavin's brother, Devin, who has since graduated.
I hope Tony wins it all, but 3rd seems more realistic given Kerk and Hendrickson (pinned Tony) are back. Which one do you think he beats? Now here are my predictions with the gamblers in the line up.

I hope Tony gets to wrestle and you are right, has to stay out of that cradle. I really want to see Tony put a beat down on the ISU clown after his tongue waging against Warner. Free Tony!I think he beats Hendricksen in the semi's
I think Kerk is more of an issue for Cass.I hope Tony wins it all, but 3rd seems more realistic given Kerk and Hendrickson (pinned Tony) are back. Which one do you think he beats?
gableI think Kerk is more of an issue for Cass.
Regular season is going to be huge for Kerk, Hendricks and Cass. Whoever gets the one seed gets to sit while the two others battle it out in the semi.
I’ll have to ignore the dumb dumb comment. Must be some inside joke I’m not privy to.gable
I’m guessing you don’t realize the inside nature of this poster. You have been gifted with information by someone in the know. Better to thank than insul then, imo.I’ll have to ignore the dumb dumb comment. Must be some inside joke I’m not privy to.
Seems to me Lucas is going to have a say in all this. Maybe he is training with Paris , maybe he grows and strengthens a bit . Should be interesting .
I don’t see gable returning but I have no knowledge just seems risky to me. If he does come back I will root mightily for anyone to beat him Including Cass. He isn’t invincible.
And I don’t know maybe it’s just me but Wyatt just looks like a beast . When Kerk took him down it reminded me of Cassar toppling Gable.

Nope wasn’t meant to be insulting at all . Guess I’m lost as to what could have been construed as insulting.Eh. I don't think he was insulting. But the dumb dumb comment has to do with Kerk's oft in-match decision making. He just makes some weird mental mistakes for a guy who's wrestled as long as he has and is as good as he is.

I figured you were either just calling him dumb as an iowa fan , which as a penn state fan I will just ignore, or your making fun of his parks and rec major lol.
From what I’ve witnessed when I watch him wrestle , he usually just loses when he is gassed or just over matched.
Thanks. I get it now.Eh. I don't think he was insulting. But the dumb dumb comment has to do with Kerk's oft in-match decision making. He just makes some weird mental mistakes for a guy who's wrestled as long as he has and is as good as he is.
And Michigan is about to get Gomez.
I’m sorry. I missed the first dumb dumb statement by vhsalum and took your comment out of context.Nope wasn’t meant to be insulting at all . Guess I’m lost as to what could have been construed as insulting.

Grad transfer. What's the hardship argument for Gomez to be approved to transfer a 2nd time? The NCAA is denying 2nd transfers left and right these days.
