Why did we get boned? We got the seed we deserved.
Um.....vs. Auburn.....in Alabama. Virtually a home game for them.
It is a TERRIBLE draw! Basically a home game for Auburn.
We will be playing outside of CHA. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

Guess Iowa should’ve brought their A game against Nebraska or OSU. Can’t beat bottom feeders, you get what you deserve.
I have no idea what this team will do. I only know to get to the sweet 16 will likely require 40%+ from deep and better hope the opponent doesn’t match it. That’s almost impossible to do for 3+ games so Hawks probably going home early again.

I live in Birmingham believe me its not a HCA by any means. Not alot of people around here care about college basketball, except for UAB.
True…but we got an 8 seed. Auburn got the 9. Seem they didn’t deserve a home game either!
I’m not buying that in full, but I would agree it’s not “football level passion”.
At the same time, this can’t be an excuse for Iowa. If you can’t beat a 9 seed you ain’t going far anyway.

Sucks to play Auburn in Alabama, but among the 8/9 seeds we could have been matched up against, Auburn is about as good of a draw as we could hope for. I want no part of Memphis, FAU, or Arkansas. West Virginia might have been OK. The other 8/9s are B1G schools.
This is my take on playing Auburn. We play like we did against Nebraska/ Ohio State we are going home. Play like Indiana, we can beat anybody. Realistically, we’ll perform somewhere in between. This should be a close, highly competitive game. We need guys to bring their A games, especially Kris. There, I really didn’t say anything that is going to blow anyone’s mind. Go Hawks
I’m simply saying that it’s not an excuse to say “yeah but Birmingham!” It’s not like Iowa fans can claim they’d beat Houston if playing elsewhere in first round. Some Fran defender will declare it though, just wait.
Get hot or go home. I choose to believe the Hawks will get hot for at least 2 games. And if we lay an egg vs Pearl, so what.
Shoot like the Hawks did at Indiana and they’ll win it all. My point earlier is that’s almost impossible to do for more than a couple games. Even then eventually the opponent shoots really well too.
I’m guessing he was confused by you stating we have to win 3+ games to get to the sweet 16. Maybe they (I) misunderstood your post
