A J Ferrari public statement

ADS has a verified medical condition for which he made improvements based on changes to his treatments over time... Completely different situation and I wish fans would quit comparing Austin to AJ Ferrari... Not the same thing at all..... ADS also never did the splits and flipped off the fans or took a swing at a teammate.... Quit reaching for vindication. If you wanna blow AJ off, have at it man..... I'm not getting on board until I see actions..... One thing AJ has proved at this point is that his words are empty.
I am not aware that ADS has a verified medical diagnosis. Have you seen his medical records?

Buddy ADS told a lady he was going to kill her at NCAAs. Blow AJ off huh classic cesspool response when you have no argument. Love to see it. How about we give the guy a chance and see if brands can work his magic again or you can keep crying about 🤷 good luck with your choice!
You've been told repeatedly but somehow it's not sinking into your thick skull.

First, Austin has a medical condition, one which will never be cured. His emotional outbursts take a herculean effort to control and it will be a battle he fights for the rest of his life, it's not just some immature phase that passes.

Secondly, anytime Austin stepped out of line he faced disciplinary action from the Iowa program. AJ isn't EVEN on the team yet and he's already in hot water. In fact, he's been burning himself for the past 24 months.

Lastly, Austin acknowledges his shortcomings and has openly said he wants to be a better person and he is currently succeeding. He's been nothing but tremendous during his time with the HWC and coaching with Marinelli's club.

You're about as tone deaf as Ironside.

Can't have a conversation without insults lol... Anyway, issues are issues. ADS can be used because he's a part of the team and reflects on the team. He doesn't get a pass for his transgressions lol what world do you live in where people with "mental issues" get away with their actions? I'm not here to change your mind on anything, but don't think it's fair that AJ can't be given a chance once he joins the team...

How many of you have been flipped off when you were younger, yet got over it? How many of you have gotten in a fight yet gotten over it. I find it funny that people are not able to do this. We have all acted like a douche before, and we all have a friend who has too. Give Tom and Terry and chance to work with him.
Great point. When Desantos first came to us, he was still an unpredictable powder keg on the mat. I remember many times TnT had to run out onto the mat and pull him off the mat before he did something that would lead to a big suspension. This behavior slowly died down over his first two years, it didn’t disappear overnight, and may never have if he never joined us. Lambertt, you may use this as a bedtime story tonight, curtesy of the great story teller 😉

I got punched by either Tom or Terry (never could tell them apart back then) for flipping them off from my front yard.

Lessoned learned, if you flip people off they will not like you. Some will even punch you.

Lots of Iowa fans do not like AJ after last night, we'll see how that changes if he puts on an Iowa singlet.

Risk is no longer worth the reward. AJ will destroy the room and culture of the program. Kids will leave and others will refuse to come. I welcome Anthony and Angelo. They should not pay for AJ’s antics.
This is what I have been contemplating, we need positivity towards possible blue chip recruits. What we don't need is anything to weigh against us.

Having AJ on the team has been and now will continue to be heavily calculated unfortunately. This is a unprecedented and monumental move by the couching staff. Prior to the SS this was obviously questionable, now who knows what implications it may have.

Exactly! This is his first mistake he’s ever made. These people who have a zero tolerance policy for minor behavior mess ups are just haters and jealous of his deadlift. AJ will solidify the locker room with his team first personality. He has shown extreme loyalty to his high school and will bring tons of blue chip recruits in once their parents see and hear of his off campus activities.

Coach Phil vouched for him. Coach Phil trusted him. Coach Phil was deceived by a full of shit pretend bible toter. Coach Phil bigger than the rest of us and will likely forgive him.
Now I know your thoughts...I guess I was thinking of Coach Phil because he's coached young wrestlers, has a son on the team, has met/knows the Ferarris. He also comes across as a reasonable guy.

How many of you have been removed from a wrestling roster for possibly raping a women, then given yet another chance from another coaching staff and then immediately proceed to fight with your new teammate, flip that teammate off and then lost your mind and flipped off the fans of your new team to show your appreciation? You got over it ...
Blah blah blah blah blah! You sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher.

Anyone comparing them is as screwed in their head as AJ Ferrari.

Sometimes a meathead is simply a meat head. Nothing more. Nothing less. I may be completely wrong looking at it from the cheap seats, but every interview and action I see from him simply screams a strong lack of intelligence.

With the above said, I think nearly everyone, with him or against, are giving him to much credit for is actions or inactions. Even incredibly intelligent people make really dumb decisions or mistakes. The 2 key differences between them and those with considerably less brain power is 1.)They almost always learn a lot from them and 2.)They rarely make the same mistake again.

Many are expecting AJ to be smart enough to learn and adapt. He simply may not be bright enough to do either…

It doesn’t take intelligence. It takes a certain level of self-awareness and humility. Hopefully he learns both. If not, he will be gone before long.

What's getting lost in all of this is that A.J. is a brilliant student. Bio-engineering major with a minor in financial accounting. He's already been accepted to Harvard's business school.

i get the skepticism and i know everyone here is perfect and never made a mistake but showing ownership is a great start.

he will still have to show it in his actions of course but let’s just see how it plays out
you are right everyone deserves a second chance, or a third chance, oh,,,,,or a fourth chance..LOL

ADS has a verified medical condition for which he made improvements . . .
Yet, there is no x-ray, scan, nor blood test that can detect this condition. In other words, it's observed behavior.

One day (or maybe already) "they" will diagnose narcissism as a verified medical condition.

The bottom line is that both ADS and AJ have to alter their behavior. And there is no magic potion or procedure outside a lobotomy that stops such.

you mean a second, third, and fourth chance now, right?

While I cannot know exactly how others will react...the section of the crowd that AJ gave the double birds to last night contained many parents of current IA grapplers. Suffice to say...they were not pleased. It would not surprise me if others factored events like last night into their future plans and commitments to Hawkeye wrestling.

I am sorry, but to have any decent level of self awareness, a reasonable amount of intelligence is absolutely necessary. Even humility doesn’t matter much if you aren’t smart enough to know when or why you are even supposed to be humble….
