It does nothing to change my opinion. Throwing a punch could have been regarded as impulsive behavior in the heat of the moment, but the multiple fingers to the crowd, doing the splits to draw attention to himself fingering the crowd, that is a person that has zero self control.
It isn’t a matter of intelligence. I have a special needs niece who is easily intelligent enough to know how to behave appropriately. We’ve all known athletes who are dumber than a box of rocks but never lose their cool in competition and are great sports. AJ is clearly intelligent enough to have the requisite amount of self-awareness and humility to behave as he should.
I almost always agree with you but I also know how much you enjoy a good pissing match, so we can just agree that I’m correct and move on.😉
Don’t you know that double birding the crowd while doing a split is normal aggressive wrestling behavior? Just listen to the apologists. Everyone has done this type of behavior once or twice after a tough match. Normally it’s only contained to practice though…

I don’t know man. There is a very distinct reason why the number 83 is so important to the Armed Forces. Now, I am pretty sure AJ is above that, but how much I wouldn’t bet my house on……
In case you were unaware, the Armed Forces have determined that an IQ at or below 83 makes it IMPOSSIBLE to train you in ANY capacity and they will immediately reject any recruit that falls into that range…so, if he is even just close to that…..

Anthony has been in Iowa city 7 months and AJ has been around a bunch. In all that time nobody has heard a word about anything bad happening. So the staff has 7 months of data. And the Salute won't override that
One positive in my mind was that immediately after AJ stepped off the mat the bull was basically ripping AJ a new elimination orifice. It appeared that he continued to receive this kind of treatment for several minutes after from various members of Iowa coaching staff. If he stays hopefully he took what he heard to heart. If nothing else it provides some valuable experience for Alex Marinelli going forward in his coaching career.
The Bull? He's 1/2 the man A.J. is. A.J. would squash him like a bug.

My perspective, it should be obvious to most that AJ Ferrari will collect substantial NIL (or charity) monies wherever he enrolls (U. of Iowa or other college). After this weekend's Soldier Salute debacle whomever has Ferrari's NIL rights most certainly counseled 'Ferrari and friends' this behavior must end/stop. Or AJ's market value will suffer irreparable damage. Market value down bigly, thus Sunday's mea culpa.
The public apology is a good sign both brothers want to be here after the debacle that just took place. Regardless how short or if insincere or dad made him do it. AJ’s actions were selfish with no regard for his brothers and how his actions impact them and their future. Anthony has worked hard to be here. He’s invested and has earned it. Angelo is a really good kid. I feel bad especially for him. He, unfairly, will always carry some of AJ’s baggage.

Serious question, do any of the wrestlers want the Ferraris on the team? What’s that going to to for chemistry and moral? As an outsider I think your best bet is to cut ties with the whole family.

Medication and counseling, along with humility and a willingness to change, go a long way in changing your mental health defects. If one can understand you can’t do this alone, this is the beginning of ascertaining humility.
Hopefully AJ can find the honesty, openness and willingness needed to
become a better man.
