A new GOP House proposal is set to ban trans women from women's bathrooms at the capitol building to target first trans Rep, Sarah McBride

Wait until I see a freak going into a women's restroom . You'll hear about it on the news
Not a single one of you tough guys would look at the woman above and give it a second thought as she walked into the women's restroom. What you're all actually worried about is finding yourselves in the Crying Game.

That's the straight men. They are the ones constantly sending unsolicited d!ck pics.

If you talk to women what you will actually overwhelmingly find is that they aren't really concerned about a transgender woman in the restroom as much as a straight man in the restroom intending to harm them. Some have bought into the hysteria that there are a bunch of straight men posing as trans in order to gain access to women in the restroom. But, like their favorite argument on guns, men who want to attack women aren't concerned about the rules. They aren't pretending to be anything. They are just attacking women and the vast majority of it is happening outside of the restroom.

Well said.

Many of us have managed our own lives, alone. We have always made our own decisions.

We resent the fact that we’re not considered equals. And equals we are.

What the hell were you doing Jake’s bathroom, lady? I guarantee you that I served you if you were there in 1994! Honestly the grossest thing I have seen in my life was in the women’s bathroom there and Porter made me clean it. Lol
I had to go and the line was much shorter. And sorry for the messes I made in the women’s room. Some chicks can’t hold their alcohol.
Small digression here:

I wonder how many of us used the men’s room at One Eyed Jake’s many times in 1994? I’m for sure on that list.

My youngest no pic is a sophomore at Iowa and her sorority had a Dad’s weekend for the Northwestern game a few weeks back. We all ended up at the Mexican bar that took over the one eyed Jake’s space and a bunch of us dads were reminiscing on how many of us blacked out due to the 21 pitchers for $21 when it was someone’s 21st.

Good memories, if a bit patchy, of that place.
I’d been drinking there since I was 19 so I felt horrible showing my real ID to my favorite bartender when I finally turned 21. I loved that bar.

You mean the women you group up with who talk about how they don't need a man in their life and/or devalue the ones who are in their life?

Sounds like you have issues.

I don’t think that you can equate the two.

Have you considered why a woman would decide that they don’t need a man in their life?

There are many possible reasons, but the main one is being deeply hurt.

I'm sure you've heard the joke among women of a certain age that the men their age are looking for a nurse or a purse. Northern is very offended by that. Makes you wonder why.

And you nailed it. It was true in CT, and it’s true down here in Tallahassee.

I shall certainly share with other widowed and divorced friends.

Actually, it was comical in CT. There was a certain xixi bar on the water. The guys were looking for the rich widows and divorcees.

But they are helping the average person in this situation. The average person isn’t trans.

How does this help the average person?? Are their groceries going to be cheaper if this bill is passed? Will they no longer be drowning in credit card, student loan, or medical debt? Will this make housing more affordable? Will this create high paying jobs?

How does this help the average person besides removing the .1% chance they might pass an obviously trans person going in or out of a bathroom?

Republican leaders truly are not serious people. She’s scared of a trans woman but not the rapist and pedo she works with. Unbelievable.

I literally worked there until 2005 when I met my wife and she put the kibosh on 16 years. Even as a teacher I would go up and manage or bartend on weekends! 100% I served you at some point.

Nancy Mace might be mentally ill. She actually started off in DC like she might be a decent, bi-partisan member of the House. Now she's a groveling boot licker, and fear monger. She didn't give a crap about a predator like Matt Gaetz prowling the House, but someone in the stall next to them expelling urine from their body is too much? Second point, if any of you thought the trans hysteria and bigotry would end with the election you were wrong. It feeds the most easily triggered of our county.
Just saw an interview with Nancy, my God what a raging bitch.

I’m not even sure it’s a Crying Game scenario. My guess is a lot of the angriest posters have expansive browsing histories, shall we say, and hating trans citizens covers that up in their mind.

Thanks! I threw up there a few times from 1994-1996. I met Mrs. Lucas there one such night when she was the DD for a bunch of her sorority sisters.
I remember Porter.

I like how you've ignored my post calling out your hypocrisy for 2+ pages.

I wouldn't want to justify that stupidity, either.
You’ve got him pissing himself ever since he got all flustered and claimed he is a college graduate. An elite university graduate no less.

As a guy I couldn't care one lick about having men or women in the restroom while I'm in there. I'd rather it be women actually now that I think about it.

But I also dont want to presume what women want or would be comfortable with. My guess is that we have separate bathrooms now because that is what women prefer. I also wouldn't want any woman in my family told what they should and shouldn't be comfortable with based on someone elses ideas of propriety. I'd simply be for 3 bathrooms. Mens. Womens. And I don't give a damn who is also in there I just have to piss

Like I said. It’s such a small majority of the population. Why are you so worked up about it? How is it affecting you?
If you haven’t caught on, I’m acting like a dem. That’s always the response you guys give when trans issues are brought up. Here a dem started a trans thread, why I don’t know because it has no impact on his life. It impacts such a small percentage of people. Who cares if they pass some bill.

So you've moved on from this bill helps the average person to this bill doesn't impact the average person?

If the bill doesn't impact the average person why is the government wasting time by passing an unnecessary bill that's only purpose is to target a marginalized group?

I saw a new one this morning. Someone on Facebook was bitching about the government being for themselves and not for the people because they made this rule for congress and not for the public. Smh.

I'm all for protecting women's sports, women's locker rooms and bathrooms in schools or where minors are the main users. But if you're an adult, who gives a ****. It's not like you are getting undressed in front of anyone. You're in a private stall. There is a common sense line to draw and our society is unable to figure out where that line is.

Well it is still being done for the average person. The average person isn’t trans and doesn’t want to cater for such a small group of people.
If it is such a small group of people, why are we making exceptions for them. Some instances creating new restrooms for a small amount of people.

The average person wouldn't care which bathroom a trans person uses if Republicans didn't pretend that this was some crisis that needed addressed.

Which goes back to my original point that Republicans would rather focus on culture war crap than actually tackling the issues impacting average people.
