A little wrestling cross-over here. I wrestled a kid from Barstow HS in the 90’s and couldn’t for the life of me comprehend how he kept repeatedly launching me onto my head. I later sat down with him and found out he was a Judo practitioner that got into wrestling to improve his Judo game. He’s got his own dojo now. Check out Chuck Jefferson judo in San Jose. 197 has a lot of questions this year first AJ? Is he even gonna make it throughout the year. Then it seems like the field could be somewhat wide-open, maybe. Who knows what weight starocci goes at for psu? If not him at 197 for PSU who takes the starting slot?

Buchanan wrestled 3 years at Wyoming, earning AA status twice including 3rd place in 2022. He then transferred to Oklahoma, where he redshirted one year and then got 3rd place again last year.
I think Bakersfield will look the other way more than Iowa would have. This is not good for AJ in the long run, he needed the discipline TnT would have provided, plus California is an anything goes kind of state. Too many temptations for a guy with limited self control. If he does make it, I like his chances of winning it this year.
If star did go 197, the shit talk between them all year would be epic. The match would be boring because they are both defensive wrestlers, but AJ’s size and strength may give him the edge. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen.

If AJ stays eligible he will be a force at 197 for sure. I would have loved to have had him and Starboy square off. The smack talk building up to that match would be pure entertainment. Not sure if there is an arena big enough for both their egos to fit in. I do hope AJ stays out of trouble for his brother's sake, but I doubt it. We will see.
I wonder how good he is at wrestling anymore (relatively speaking). All his videos are working out and squating. Will be interesting to see how he dedicates himself to actual wrestling.
We would always joke when people spelled squatting squating. As in my squate max is 405 now lolol. It's a dumb weight training joke. That aside, is he wrestling? Doing the sport and being in shape for it is way different than maximal strength. There comes a time when raw muscle and top end strength just becomes unnecessary because it's not making you a better wrestler.

That, plus top stalling is called much quicker now than when he won his 1st title. Refs aren't going to allow him to just hang out in side control and push opponent oob repeatedly when they get to their feet.
Saw a preview of him using the same tactics against Glazier at SS, and AJ seemed confused on why he was hit with the call.
I believe I read they went 0-12 in duals last year, 1-11 in duals 2 years ago and have lost 20 straight duals. They have nothing to lose.
The guys on Flo hinted he could transfer after this year if things go well. Do you think Iowa would give him a chance if he had a good year on and off the mat?? We will be in the market for a 197 next year😂😂. Im skeptical he’ll be able to keep it classy if he has to wrestle Buchanan or Glazier this year, unless this is his plan all along.
If one has a hard on for more than 4 hours they should seek medical attention. I believe you have had one for more than a year.
