Its cool. I think trump is the only guy talking about tariffs. Are you going to vote for him?
No, because he's talking about protective tariffs.
I mean, that isn't the only reason I'm not voting for him...
Its cool. I think trump is the only guy talking about tariffs. Are you going to vote for him?
Psst, you got to connect the dots. Strumm wants no taxes. The government doesn't work for free. And we all know your views, so why are you hiding now?Did someone bring up anarchy in this thread or something?
No... no, I never said that at all. I never even remotely said that. I don't even know how you came up with such a response. Must be that Insanity you're dealing with. And you think a system built on no government is solid?
Psst, you got to connect the dots. Strumm wants no taxes. The government doesn't work for free. And we all know your views, so why are you hiding now?
Yes you very remotely said that. You said you didn't want to replace the funding you are taking away by getting rid of the current tax structure. That means you don't have a government that is strong enough to stand up to other concentrations of power. That means we live in anarchy and tyranny. You have to own your blowback.No... no, I never said that at all. I never even remotely said that. I don't even know how you came up with such a response. Must be that Insanity you're dealing with.
This isn't a choice of No Government or All Government. The "system" is built on a fiat currency and a monetary system that removes all choice from the people and puts it squarely in the hands of those who control the monetary system. You see, these people you argue over- these politicians- they don't even have a say in what happens with our monetary system anymore. None! You could really benefit from learning just what happened to this country when the 16th Amendment and Federal Reserve Act occurred. The realization might hurt a little. But, at least you'd know. And, you'd know where the real Insanity lies.
and anarchy. You seem to be losing your own threads in this discussion. Read up and follow along. This was the 2nd time you forgot your own point. And?
and anarchy.
Nope, you both brought it up. because you both create the circumstances for it. And since when does that term even bother you? Are you no longer a self professed anarcho capitalist?Except that you're the one who brought up anarchy.
Nope, you both brought it up. because you both create the circumstances for it. And since when does that term even bother you? Are you no longer a self professed anarcho capitalist?
Your past support of the ideas certainly play into my interpretation of your positions. Are you rejecting that philosophy now?Where in your twisted logic did I come up with anarchy in this thread? Because I've spoke of anarcho-capitalism in the past?
No, because he absolutely believes in this tax-you-to-death system. He thinks these people that collect and distribute are people with the greatest, noblest-minded people with inherent altruism and.. basically super-human. He's also lacking the knowledge of the monetary system we're run by. Apparently ANY knowledge of it.Where in your twisted logic did I come up with anarchy in this thread? Because I've spoke of anarcho-capitalism in the past?
I'm not even really talking about "the tax structure" in a direct sense.Yes you very remotely said that. You said you didn't want to replace the funding you are taking away by getting rid of the current tax structure. That means you don't have a government that is strong enough to stand up to other concentrations of power. That means we live in anarchy and tyranny. You have to own your blowback.

Explain, that's not obvious. One doesn't have to do with the other.
So your optimism comes with many doubts and caveats then? How can you be so optimistic when you measure such heavy problems against it?I don't think human nature was better in some pre technological times. I think just the opposite. I think they were more scared, less secure, more superstitious and more prone to violence and brutality. I'm pretty optimistic about human trajectory if we just face empirical results and avoid utopian flings with folly.
Explain, that's not obvious.
Empirical data. Problems keep getting fixed. So your optimism comes with many doubts and caveats then? How can you be so optimistic when you measure such heavy problems against it?
Insanity, though often quoted wrong, is said to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The real meaning of course, lacking sound mental capacity leading to unreasonable behavior, or an unreasonable outlook.Insanity.
Again you lost the topic. Are you an anarcho capitalist? Do you still hold to those beliefs? If so I get to filter your position through that prism. If you are rejecting that philosophy, I congratulate you.Because I was talking about using specific taxes to fund a government.
What is insane is to scrap a working functional system that's good but not perfect to chase after a solution you admit you don't have. Working within the system, correcting problems, incrementally making it better is the sane option.Insanity, though often quoted wrong, is said to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The real meaning of course, lacking sound mental capacity leading to unreasonable behavior, or an unreasonable outlook.
It is not reasonable to continue to allow harm to be done to yourself and others simply because a system has taught you to simply sit there and deal with it.
It is much more insane, to unreasonably trust in something that has time and time again, shown you that it cannot be trusted, it is foolish to not be able to understand after so many examples of atrocities and wrong doings, that your trust may need some rethinking.
You really are stuck on labels and your definitions of them. Religion really did a number on you as a child. You have my sympathies. It's "this way" or "that way" for you.Again you lost the topic. Are you an anarcho capitalist? Do you still hold to those beliefs? If so I get to filter your position through that prism. If you are rejecting that philosophy, I congratulate you.
Yes, defining things is very important to discussing them. I realize you struggle with that concept. You really are stuck on labels and your definitions of them. Religion really did a number on you as a child. You have my sympathies. It's "this way" or "that way" for you.
No, they do not, they keep getting worse. Our economy continues to worsen, the war efforts are on the verge of exploding again, the 1% is moving to .5 percent territory, humans are losing touch with one another, the angst against the people vs. the system is growing in multiple levels, and as I have listed before, we are seeing a tightening down of the police state.Empirical data. Problems keep getting fixed.
These all seem to be great reasons why to vote Democratic. No, they do not, they keep getting worse. Gay marriage is now allowed, but so is prolonged detention without warrant nor trial.
Hand over a few bread crumbs, and take the cake.
It will take a lot more than truth and logic to make someone like Natural accept that he's been betrayed and continues to be betrayed. People like him actually take pleasure in this "game." He even says as much. It's hard to convince someone who likes the game to believe it's not in their best interest to be used as a pawn. Some people actually prefer that status. Some, like Natural, go even further and find it absurd that there are a few of us that don't enjoy it like he does.Insanity, though often quoted wrong, is said to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The real meaning of course, lacking sound mental capacity leading to unreasonable behavior, or an unreasonable outlook.

Yet your definitions only go against your arguments.Yes, defining things is very important to discussing them. I realize you struggle with that concept.
I would suggest you start defining with an effort to find the real definition instead of the 'call it as you see it', method of defining.Yes, defining things is very important to discussing them. I realize you struggle with that concept.
Please show me the universal definition of "a world-class society." TIAI applaud you in this thread, natural. It's not easy dealing with people who think that taxes are theft, except when they say they aren't, or that we shouldn't be taxed at all yet still expect to maintain a world-class society. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one.
I don't see any of these things that the Democratic party hasn't had a hand in. I therefore would have to disagree and suggest that more of the same will come from either vote. History is on my side. These all seem to be great reasons why to vote Democratic.
Now I see why people like you are easily placated with having a flag to worry about. These all seem to be great reasons why to vote Democratic.
I would think that everyone can agree that the US is world-class. Take away the ability to tax and that status would drop very quickly. So congrats. You now have more money in your pocket, but live in a third world country. Excellent bargaining skills. Please show me the universal definition of "a world-class society." TIA
Yeah, and your own this-or-that definitions restrict you from meaningful discussion.Yes, defining things is very important to discussing them. I realize you struggle with that concept.
You didn't define anything. You just took what this system gives and claimed it as a win.I would think that everyone can agree that the US is world-class. Less military, recognizing the problems of the wealth gap, trying to close down Gitmo. All of these are issues Dems have been arguing for for years. Now I see why people like you are easily placated with having a flag to worry about.
Again you lost the topic. Are you an anarcho capitalist? Do you still hold to those beliefs? If so I get to filter your position through that prism. If you are rejecting that philosophy, I congratulate you.
So you're arguing that the US isn't an excellent benchmark for being world class? Interesting stance I don't think many would agree with. You didn't define anything. You just took what this system gives and claimed it as a win.
Try again.
Make your case. List the concept and tell me how you think I have defined it and what the real definition is.Yet your definitions only go against your arguments.
I would suggest you start defining with an effort to find the real definition instead of the 'call it as you see it', method of defining.
Are you involved in government in a career since?
Less military, recognizing the problems of the wealth gap, trying to close down Gitmo. All of these are issues Dems have been arguing for for years.
I seem to be doing fine, but thank you for your concerns.Yeah, and your own this-or-that definitions restrict you from meaningful discussion.
