Any chance this Michigan plane thing could move Iowa/Indiana game?

Jockitch just mentioned the possibility on the neb-psu broadcast.

Is his kid still on Michigan team or did he graduate last year?
Yep he ignored the game for 5 min to talk about it. I get it to a certain extent but come on. Team is fine, do your job.

I think they'll have to shuffle the schedule if Michigan can't get in until tomorrow. Move the other 3 games up and Mich/Ill play last tomorrow night

I think you're joking, but the fallout from that would be epic.

This is bad, though - we need Michigan to win.

yeah, was joking.

iowa left for DC today, too. hope there were no issues for them. There were crazy high winds throughout the Midwest yesterday as well.

I think they should shift the games. It's a game. They're so damn slow to react on decisions like
This. It won't effect their precious tourny or seeding or anything else. It was beyond their control.

Don't really care if it affects Illinois winning or losing. I just want wins by the Hawks, 3 or 4 of em before the NCAA Tourney

This will mostly affect the Iowa and Indiana game and the people going to it because they will be moved to the morning sessions so now fans need to buy tickets to that one because they're tickets they bought already, if they did, are for the night session

Yeah that seems like a problem!!

What about fans of the other teams ? Their air/hotel travel plans, or those in Iowa who will get to watch the game after work tomorrow at 5:30 unless they move the game time to afternoon. It's not a fans fault that the A.D. decides to fly in late the day before to save some money. How about chartering a smaller plane tonight for the team and coaches to get them in ? Let the cheer leaders and band fly in tomorrow if they can. I think the teams should have all been in DC 36 hours before it's first game. It is a winter sport after all, and almost all are upper midwest universities.

It would be a bad break and disappointment for the Michigan players and staff but the only fair way to resolve the situation.
Not being an ass but if they would have taken a charter bus they'd be there by 11:30 PM

I was thinking the same thing. During the BTN broadcast tonight, they mentioned that something like this requires an investigation, and all of the luggage and everything on board are part of the investigation. They made it sound like leaving was not immediately an option.

What's to investigate? High winds prevented a good takeoff.

gotta feel bad for them. IF they get there, makes you wonder if they will give the ILLINI a game or not. You know the ILLNI will be rested and motivated.

And we all know how cooperative Indiana is with scheduling issues. Their fans first. Their team's advantage second. Nothing else matters.

This is true.

in an hour? 7 1/2 to 8 hours more like it

Um...had they left at 5pm when they knew they wouldn't have made it, yes an hour. Had they left sooner knowing the $@#&ing forecast, they would be fat from the buffet and in bed right now.

.
my bad; i imsunderstood you.

its too bad they couldn't have hopped on a bus, but who knows, maybe there was nothing available; i would imagine they looked at all possible avenues

that damn wind was bad yesterday; apparently the State of Michigan was still suffering from it today

If Illinois loses to a team that has gone through this travel schedule.. Kiss them goodbye!
