I'm not anyone's dad here and I agree NM's performance was not good and I get we have to blow off steam but at some point it it is just piling on. Maybe like another 30 min of bitching?
Unless you are Mark Ironside, I expect him to be mad all day.

Iamhawkeye, I'm really not too keen on who has come out of SE Polk besides Clark and Meyer or anyone from Bettendorf , I should say that we need to recruit the guys that in high school are improving every year. The ones that are widening the gap. Pretty much what I'm trying to get at is these guys from West high who were at the top the whole time haven't worked that well. DSJ was a little different because I feel he was improving his entire career (still faltered his senior year, though). My perception of four timers has changed a bit when I look at Clark and Sorensen but they were continually getting better and better throughout high school. Then you look at Nick Moore who when I was watching didn't really get tested all that much. His hardest match was probably Ballweg and I'm pretty sure he split those.
The teams that come to mind whose athletes don't perform as well in college as in high school are west high, Ballard, Apple Valley (not iowa, I know) and W-SR. I'm sure there's a couple others but that's all I can think of with Big Tens going on

Is it just me or does it seem like the announcers, and by announcers i mean the scorers, are cheering against iowa in every match?

Agreed Chief. He is what he is, but all of us were hoping he is what he was - a legit title contender. I cannot think of another wrestler that has had the trajectory Moore has had the last 12 months. Just 1year ago he is strongly considered a finalist and a year later he is a takedown dummy. He has looked unprepared to wrestle the first period all season. That is mental.
With a guy like Nick, he had success all his life in the sport but had trouble handling adversity. It's the problem with big name guys when they run into roadblocks. A guy like Kelly gives it everything he's got despite the lack of talent. Wasn't his fault Brands didn't have anybody better than him...all he did was beat the guys they put in front of him. Really happy he beat Mascola.
