I assume it's more that Penn State couldn't make the tourney with Owusu and Marisa, and they can probably transfer schools with a better chance to make it than Penn State will have next season.

A real surprise. When Olivia Olson committed to Michigan, she talked about being really comfortable with Michigan because one of her best friends (Woodson) was going there.
Iowa also recruited Woodson and had some traction with her.

Also, not B1G but idk where else to post ISU stuff (bc why rly?) but I think this is #5 from them. Didn’t they have at least that many leave last year too?? People love to talk about this coaching tree but is the common denominator a lack of culture?

I can't speak to ISU, but I can say after spending time in Iowa's locker room for NCAA Tournament coverage that Iowa's culture is incredibly good. I was beyond impressed by how every member of the team and coaching staff handled the loss and how they supported each other. There's a reason why Iowa doesn't have a ton of transfers out even with so many players not in the regular rotation.
Holy Cow....Michigan is losing a lot of players, I wonder if Olivia Olson is having any regrets....Iowa did recruit Laila in HS.
And she is from the same high school as Gabbie and K. Reynolds. Still remember that time when Gabbie ( inadvertently) kicked her in the face.

It's a bit of a misconception that "Do Not Contact" means she knows where she's going already. She might have a shortlist and is reaching out and arranging visits on her own terms as opposed to politely fielding calls from 25+ different coaching staffs just to turn them down.

It’s surprising to say but the best fit on this list might be Ronsiek. She doesn’t fill a front court need at 6’1”. But she played an offense similar to Geno’s at Creighton. She also has great work ethic. I'd take Ronsiek in a NY minute. Along with a big, of course.
Didn't she have all her players write a note to CC when she broke the scoring record? I am almost certain that was mentioned during the Michigan game.

Odd as it seems, there has been open speculation for months now in Madison about her returning home (Wisconsin) for her senior year.
Wise choice. She retired while still being the coach with most career wins. Maybe next year Geno will retire after he himself becomes the coach with most career wins.
No Pac 10, transfer portal headaches, and NIL. Can't be much fun anymore.

This is a huge loss for Penn State and Coach Kieger. Zoll-Norman was the recruiter responsible for PSU’s portal haul last year that injected life into PSU. Now, between graduation, portal exits and a coaching exit, Kieger is on thin ice.

Right? He is my least favorite B1G coach by a wide margin. I cannot imagine spending so much time around someone who CONSTANTLY smacks on his gum with an open mouth. It’s like watching a cow chewing on cud.

The BIG WBB arms race is on. Between portal transfers to the BIG, the Pac-12 additions, and a good BIG WBB recruiting year, the number of elite recruits in the BIG will likely be at an all-time high next season. Next year, based on current known transfers, BIG rosters will feature 24 McDonald's All Americans, compared to 8 this year.
