This is why she's popular. It has zero to do with race. Every female player who came before her was good at one or two, or MAYBE three of those things. She's good-to-great at
all of them. To put it bluntly, Clark does things that heretofore only men did (logo bombs). There's a reason all the comparisons people come up with for her game are with MALE players in the NBA.
And all of this happened in an era when TV and social media offer immense exposure. She has a multi-tool skill set that no female player has ever exhibited previously. She brought a "wow!" factor to women's ball that didn't previously exist.
If JuJu eventually passes CC's scoring mark, the absolute silence about Pearl Moore or anyone else who came before owning the "real" record will be deafening.
Also, none of this means she'll automatically be a huge success in the WNBA. She may be or may not be. But it does explain why she is popular and getting these deals right now.
