Normally like Stephen Bardo for Iowa games, but not sure I want him for Iowa-Illinois game!

He's fair. He will call it like it is.
Bardo loves Iowa. Loves Garza loves his dad. Loves JBo, thinks Weiskamp is the next Kobe, loves Fran...

No different then Jess Settles calling an Iowa game. Bardo is one of the better color guys IMO. Bardo and Settles are BB analysts, its their profession, they will call the game as they see it. Don't even mind a good natured jab when they reminisce.

Bardo is one of the best....really enjoy his call on games. He MIGHT go out his way NOT to favor Illinois...either way, I don't care I would just really like the Hawks to get this win as a 1 point underdog.
Bardo bleeds Orange and Blue, but he's knowledgeable and he seems to enjoy doing Iowa games, at least he did a bunch of them last year. He can get a little over the top as most analyst can and it my get to a point of "shut up already" but I'm OK with his shtick. Bring it on. Iowa won a bunch of games that he worked on.
Bardo does a lot of games. He doesn't give every team the love Iowa gets. I think he sincerely likes Iowa. He ran with Roy and Ed.
I like Bardo a lot, and he won't make a biased call. I hope it as good a game as I am expecting. Both teams have the capability of making a deep run in the post season.
I cringe every time I hear Bardo refer to the basketball as the "rock" a la Dick Vitale circa 1989. He is kind of nerdy; his dad was a professor at Southern Illinois. Love the guy though, and he has done well for himself on and off court. Looking forward to a great game tomorrow, go Illini!
That jab Jess threw at Lickliter earlier this year was awesome. Think it was during the NIU game.

Give me Bardo or Hummel for my Iowa games. Please do not assign ex-badgers to the team as they always seem to slip in a few snide comments about Iowa and Carver.
