On Twitter some noise about him being a strong possibility. UNLv OC. Only holdup is he may be interviewing for Arizona Hc position. Anyone hearing anything?
Isn't that what assistant coaches do? Seems like all of them were upward in trajectory. The guy seems to switch schools every year

Give me 4 years and I’m happyGoodness gracious he’s a coaching whore.
Whores are funGoodness gracious he’s a coaching whore
Exactly, we don't need an OC to stay for 10 years we need one for the end of KF. 4-5?🤷🏻♂️Give me 4 years and I’m happy
He's currently the OC/QB coach at UNLV. He might still want that QB coaching position if he goes somewhere else. Lots of wide receiver coaching experience as well. He fills some much needed gaps in experience and expertise if he comes on board. At 37 years he looks like the epitome of the "young up and comer". If nothing else he'd be an exciting hire.I guess the primary question is, which position coach does he fill? He has experience with QBs and WRs. I would assume the latter with Budmayr staying on as QB coach? I hate saying this but it seems plausible.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like Kirk lol.I’m not saying that **I** feel this way, but he would be a terrible fit for how Kirk likes to play. Tempo? Short possessions? Maybe Kirk has lost his mind?
lol some of you are hopeless. “Better not hire him, might be too successful and move on too quickly.”
Agreed!lol some of you are hopeless. “Better not hire him, might be too successful and move on too quickly.”
Maybe not after ONE year, lol, but I definitely would rather have assistants that are in demand, not ones nobody wants.LOL, agreed. I hope our next OC is so successful that he leaves after one year for a head coaching job.
Players would not follow some random Coach . If Players are following Him it means They have been informed of somethingLooks like Iowa players started following him out of nowhere. May not mean anything.
Well, short possessions won't be a change for them. The difference is they may actually end those possessions with points instead of punts.I’m not saying that **I** feel this way, but he would be a terrible fit for how Kirk likes to play. Tempo? Short possessions? Maybe Kirk has lost his mind?
6 play, 2 minute drive with 7 points > 3 play 3 minute drive with no pointsI’m not saying that **I** feel this way, but he would be a terrible fit for how Kirk likes to play. Tempo? Short possessions? Maybe Kirk has lost his mind?
Desperate times (offensively) call for drastic measures. Watching that video about him was very interesting. Seems like a guy not afraid of betting on himself and not afraid of a challenge. But I do agree, up tempo is not Kirk’s MO but he might come around since running is still the cornerstone of the offense.Hmm, this is definitely interesting. Seems like a lot of schools with clout have, or have had, interest in him. Seems like a weird fit though with KF but if he's as good as he's being touted to be by some, let's do it.
That's how I see it. I find it hard to believe that Iowa players would start following a UNLV OC just out of idle curiosity.Players would not follow some random Coach . If Players are following Him it means They have been informed of something
It likely means that he has at least interviewed in some capacity. It may not be anything more than that, but it is intriguing. That's how I see it. I find it hard to believe that Iowa players would start following a UNLV OC just out of idle curiosity.
Gotta bitch about something. ;>)lol some of you are hopeless. “Better not hire him, might be too successful and move on too quickly.”
let's hope so!!I’m not saying that **I** feel this way, but he would be a terrible fit for how Kirk likes to play. Tempo? Short possessions? Maybe Kirk has lost his mind?
