Caitlin Clark goes woke

They'll never give you a definitive answer. But it more or less means to worship them. They are celebrated by the W, and supported by the media, coaches, and players. The issue is, that most of them provided a terrible product, which is why W arenas were empty and the ratings were non-existent. People weren't saying "oh, black women are playing, can't be watching that". It's the overall product of the W, from the black to the white players, was on the whole, terrible. So no one tuned in.

Those psycho leftists and W players would never admit it, but people have already started catching on that players like Wilson, Arike, Jewel, Kelsey Mitchell, and Callier are all good and fun to watch as well.

But Caitlin plays like a guy would, which is why America was so captivated by her. She's different in every way, and that's why people support her, not because they're happy a white player is succeeding.
The only psychos are incels like you, who use anonymous forums to spout their nonsense because they lack the emotional intelligence to succeed in the real world.

Like I’ve said be sure, internet and social media is great because it gives everyone access to info and a voice. The drawback, is that it gives everyone a voice. Not everyone is worth an audience

And yet you haven't refuted any of my claims. Crawl back to whatever gutter you crawled out of you uneducated, worthless, twat.

These threads and the aggrieved people in them are why it's hard to enjoy CC. It got harder as last season wore on.

God this thread hard to read. A 22 year old who has excelled in historic accomplishments in her field. Kept to herself during college and took every single controversy and challenge in stride and with class.

A year now into her professional career and makes a statement discussing the problems surrounding not just her, but the sport and world in general.

“She should just shut up and play”. That one was my favorite.

She didn’t just “go woke” folks. She’s experienced things that none of us ever have. The challenges on and off the court. She could have lowered herself in any of those moments. Made excuses.

She rose above. She exemplifies everything we should all want our kids to be.

I was wondering how I missed this thread until I realized it started in the basketball board. Scanning through the posts it looks that board has some similar personalities.

The cm99 fella ought to meet Joe or TJ

That's not being woke ... it's just being reflective and considerate.

The majority ethnicity in this country is caucasian ... and there are distinct advantages that go along with it. If you're a talented white athlete in this country ... you're usually going to get proportionally more attention than your black counterparts. Of course, some folks erroneously peg this observation as a reflection of racism ... but it's not ... it's simply a result of (unconscious) in-group vs out-group sociological dynamics ... and a reflection of a "numbers"-game. Of course, imagine for a moment that you're an exceptionally talented athlete who is not white ... and you see yourself getting less attention than other players (of comparable talent) simply due to your appearance. Were I in that situation .... I know that I'd be irritated about it.

There has never been anyone like #22 in women’s college basketball nor the WNBA before. So your point is moot.

The words you are seeking are envy and jealousy.

Uneducated? I have four degrees. You’re the one blabbing like someone with unresolved mental issues. Why would I take precious time to refute such nonsense? It’s a complete waste of time. Your time must not be worth much, because you expended a lot of energy writing something under the delusion that anyone with a lick of sense would take it seriously.

What degrees do you have?

Just curious.

And yet here you are, replying, wasting said time. Guess those degrees didn't do too much for your intelligence, huh?

"Clark is cognizant of the racial underpinnings of her stardom. “I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,” says Clark. “A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it’s very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate Black women, that’s going to be a beautiful thing.”

So disappointed she bent the knee to the woke mob and a league that hates everything about her after being apolitical up to this point.
I can't figure out how her being white helped her make logo threes, lead the league in assists, etc. Was it her privilege to spend hours in the gym shooting hundreds of shots a day not including team practice?

Honestly, this is some of the dumbest stuff I've read but that's what woke does, it rots the brain.

I think she's just trying to be accepted by people who will never accept her. No amount of groveling to the mob will ever endear her to her peers. Wanting to honor those who blazed the trail and shaped your basketball game is admirable, but you don't have to self-deprecate to raise them up.

What are the snowflakes upset about now? Always complaining about something.

At this point in time it's become a reflex for many young people. A product of the American education system.

I could be VERY wrong on this, but I swear the only people who care that CC is white are people who aren't. As others have stated throughout this thread white people my age grew up with posters of Jordan, Magic, Tiger, Serena, Halle Berry, enjoy Wesley Snipes, Will Smith, Martin Lawerence, Denzel Washington, Snoop Dog, Dr Dre, Tupac, Beyonce', Whitney Houston and many more.

The thing they all have in common above race is excellence. People are drawn to excellence not race, that's why CC has taken the world by storm.

You’re contradicting yourself here - in one sentence you state that the WNBA product was terrible, and then in the next sentence concede that there are several players people had started watching that were good.

Idk that I believe race was the reason the WNBA didn’t experience a ratings/attendance bonanza until Clark joined the league last year - imo she just has that “IT” factor that we’ve only rarely, truly experienced in any of our lives.

People have been waiting for 5 years for Clark to say something even remotely controversial so they could tear her down. It’s an American tradition, build people up so they can be destroyed.

I agree. People weren’t ignoring the WNBA because they don’t want to watch Black lesbians. They were ignoring the WNBA because they don’t like to watch boring basketball.

When fans started complaining that Clark was receiving inordinately rough fouls, a bunch of league veterans fired back that they weren’t singling her out. That’s just the way we play in the W. This ain’t college ball. We’re grown-ass women and if you drive into the paint you can expect to get hacked.

Fair enough. But maybe that’s why no one watched your league for 25 years. Nobody wants to watch that style of basketball. People like to watch basketball that has rhythm and flow to it. They like to watch 3-pointers and fast breaks with pinpoint passing. And that’s what Clark delivers every single night.

She can absolutely do that. I also have eyes and can see the people she's lifting up have done nothing but diminish her at every turn. 17% of the tech fouls committed all last season were against Caitlin. Why disgruntle your fanbase to gain favor with current and former players who will never accept you.
If you or others are disgruntled by her comments it says far more about you than anything she said.

Just for starters...Her parents have a freaking gym in their house. She could afford to play on the best AAU travel teams and attend a private high school with good coaches. I believe that's the "privilege" she's referring to. A poor black girl doesn't have those same advantages.

I didn't read through all 6 pages of this BS thread, but I'd also like to add that OP is a moron.
