Clark is actually a once in a lifetime player for the hawks. Without her this is a 6-8 win team. She is amazing.Yea the Pistol was a once in a lifetime player. Ballhandler, passer and scorer unequaled.....

Go CC. But about Mount - I remember (and looked up now) that Ralph Miller (coach) said Mount will get his points - stop the other guys. At Purdue with the title on the line, he scored 61. We won 108-107. Mount made 27 baskets. Probably at least 20 were 3 pointers now. So 60 + 7*2 + 7 FTs = 81 pts. Announcers were talking about he was shooting as soon as he crossed center line! Unreal.Mount was incredible
The Purdue folks did a film review of the Mount 61 point game, and found as follows:Go CC. I believe I have read she can play a fifth year.Question.... Is she able to play 5 years with the COVID year or was she a year late for the COVID year?
The record would be insane with 5 years for her!
I believe I have read she can play a fifth year.
That's a great point. She is supposed to be making quite a bit more from nil than she would in the wnba. Plus she seems to be success driven for the Hawkeyes. She has been actively trying to get Martin to come back for another year. Warnock is definitely leaving unfortunately. I really like her game. Will be interesting what she does. With NIL... I wonder what $$$ comparison is like with staying vs. WNBA.

I guess financially Caitlin should play another year or 2 in college.Last year, Rhyne Howard was the #1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft. She earned $72,141 in her first season. This season she will earn $73,584.
For 2023, the top WNBA salary will be $234,936

Thought she was making over hslf a mill. In nil money with nike, hyvre, etc. She’d make more by leaving school, doesn’t sound like she is strongly considering that, though.

Legend was likely including potential income coming from playing overseas during offseason and endorsement deals.Thought she was making over hslf a mill. In nil money with nike, hyvre, etc.
She definitely has the covid year option. It was the 2020-21 season (her freshman season) that didn't count toward eligibility due to covid. It was the 2019-2020 seniors (and all the teams having good a good season) that didn't get to play an NCAA tournament that got screwed by covid.I believe I have read she can play a fifth year.

Well I’ll keep saying it. She can make a million plus a year and racking up unbeatable records in college.Stay in college for 2 more years. Make more money most likely than in the pros and the HYPE will build considerably over the next 2 years. Set a record that may never be beat. After that then do what you want as overseas markets will open back up.
What are the countdown numbers Fran?
Thank you!Year: Points Scored
2021: 799 (30 games)..............26.6 ppg
2022: 863 (32 games)...............27.0 ppg
2023: 611 (22 games so far).....27.8 ppg
........................................................
2,273 Total Points so far
3,527 NCAA Record
........................................................
1,255 Points needed to Break the record
Looks like she needs 47 games to do it (27 ppg x 47 games = 1,269)
I saw a video where some stats guy from LSU figured Maravich would have scored 13 more ppg with a 3 point line and a modern shot clock. The real question from that era is how many points would have Rick Mount or Pete Maravich have scored.
Yes, he did and Purdue still lost to the Miller 6-pack. That game was on TV. First TV game our entire family watched together. Black and white, I believe. The question may be how many points would Rick Mount have scored? Didn't he drop 60 on Iowa in the fieldhouse?
Pretty good bet she'll hit the WNBA after 2023-4 season.Question.... Is she able to play 5 years with the COVID year or was she a year late for the COVID year?

How much is she pulling in with NIL? A max WNBA contract is only like 200K I believe. She probably would have more marketing chances in the league but I'd be curious what the actual difference isPretty good bet she'll hit the WNBA after 2023-4 season.
Her total NIL deal is about a million from the 3 sources. HR Block, Hy-Vee and Nike. I think Nike would like her to milk the college experience as long as possible. Marketing her to moms, HS girls, Grade School girls, etc. would have more appeal from her as a college phenom than as a pro as the competition amps up. My 2 cents....she is worth more in college already and that will grow. How much is she pulling in with NIL? A max WNBA contract is only like 200K I believe. It's been reported WNBA contracts aren't all that lucrative. Why else would Brittney Griner be playing in Turkey during WNBA off-season?How much is she pulling in with NIL? When covid hit it crushed the overseas market. It's value will start to go north but it will take some time. WNBA lost a ton of momentum and it is still a hard sell in the US, therefore the lower pay. First year players around 75-100k.It's been reported WNBA contracts aren't all that lucrative. Why else would Brittney Griner be playing in Turkey during WNBA off-season?
I suspect after 4 years at Iowa/B1G/NCAA, Ms. Clark will be ready for new challenges.
What could entice her back for a 5th Covid year? A good enough team coming back plus incoming recruits to challenge for a Natty.
