Championship Officiating

These refs are in over their heads. Completely inconsistent and just blowing calls right and left. They’ve missed at least 2 patently obvious travels by LSU. Those are calls junior high refs shouldn’t miss.

Really disappointing to see such atrocious officiating in such a high-profile game.

And again FWIW, this game has been horribly called both ways. LSU is just as confused on their foul calls too. When you are more worried about what the ref might call than focusing on playing the game, it makes a huge difference in my opinion.

Gotta love Czinano picking up her third foul for getting elbowed in the face. Not sure what that falls under, exactly, but it counts.
Even on review they miss the 2 elbows. Unreal.

Looks like the Hawks said, “Screw it — we’ll just beat LSU and the refs. Down to 8. LSU getting tight. COME ON, HAWKS!!!

Caitlin gets a T for the behind the back ball throw (yes, that is excessive) but meanwhile Mulky is bitching and yelling all game long and nothing…. It’s a joke.

Edit: just saw the replay on Clark T and it WAS NOT excessive. JOKE.
It wasn’t intentional. 99 percent of the time the third ref is under the basket. No one was there but she instinctively did it.

It was a very poorly officiated game. Enough for me to question the point of watching sports anymore or at all if it remains under biased human eyes.

Most people won't care and it's happened countless times in the past but obviously this one hurts a little more for us considering the reward.

If reffing can impact a game in the national championship to this degree, what's the point in watching sports at all?

I don't know. Just pissed I guess.

I’m not on social media, but I’m being told that the likes of Mike Lupica, Stewart Mandell, a former director of NCAA officials, and other heavy hitters have been tweeting some absolutely scathing stuff about the “officiating” in this game.

Literally every person on Twitter is bashing the refs. I'll never be convinced those refs weren't on the take.
