I don't think I'd try making it home. Best left to the imagination. Just open the plastic tube of pre-made and roll out.

Fareway's chorizo out of their meat case is quite good. Used some in my smoked queso recently.

I've bought it for years, tried a lot of different brands really not a big difference in my opinion other then I like pork better. Eat it on so many different mexican dishes I can't even count but breakfast burrito's and taco salad's might be my favorite. Of course Taco's Campechano's are amazing.
