I recall posters on this board throwing fits when NU went to the dance. Screaming about how Collins ALREADY had surpassed Fran and the Iowa program.

Frankly, I don't remember that. They both took teams to the NCAA's in their fourth year and by then, McCaffery had taken the Hawks to two NIT tournaments, and the championship game of the second. Not sure what Collins would have had over McCaffery.
