Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa: The instinctive tackling machine is an outstanding football player, but his disappointing workout highlighted his athletic limitations. Jewell posted a pedestrian 4.82-second 40-yard dash and didn't impress in change-of-direction drills. Although his game tape suggests he's a terrific player, it's hard to justify a high pick on an inside linebacker that runs slower than a 4.7-second 40.
Sounds like the same experts who graded him coming out of high school.

The combine is a way to justify paying a few guys multi-millions, while down grading the majority to a few hundred thousand rookie deals.

You guys are overestimating how fast RBs time in the 40. Jackson from Northwestern and Chubb from Georgia ran 4.53. There are running backs running in the 4.6, 4.7, and even 4.8 range.

Wadley is fine. He has average RB speed; lateral agility is his calling card.
