Combine

I doubt it. Way, way too much good film on him.

His biggest limitation is overcoming the concept of his size making him a "3rd down/special teams back only". I'd be stunned if he's not drafted. I bet he clears the 5th round...to me a 6th or 7th rounder.
.......
You might be right i was just trying to irritate someone.

This exactly. I'm not saying that speed isn't important, but have you ever seen anyone catch Wadley from behind? You have to look at it like this. If the RB breaks through the hole and runs past a DB, unless that DB is running in that same direction, even if he runs a 4.4 compared to the RB running a 4.54, he still will not catch this guy in 60 or 70 yards. He'll catch him if they both start from a stop at the same point, otherwise its not relevant. Everything I read about Wadley's evaluation was that he does not have elite speed, so they know this already. Its his ability to cut, and stop and restart, at almost top speed that makes him unusual.
Exactly, just ask Jabrill Peppers of Michigan if Wadley is fast enough. LOL

You guys are overestimating how fast RBs time in the 40. Jackson from Northwestern and Chubb from Georgia ran 4.53. There are running backs running in the 4.6, 4.7, and even 4.8 range.

Wadley is fine. He has average RB speed; lateral agility is his calling card.

Wadley=Quickness not speed.
I concur. He's more shifty and with a solid 20-25 yard burst if he gets an opening. I've never considered him a straight line speedster who will outrun the defense ala Eric Dickerson or Hershel Walker.

I'd be ecstatic if he fell to the later rounds and my team picked him up to be their second-third option.

Kyle Lauletta from Richmond looks good. Couple guys on the broadcast saying he's the next Jimmy G.

Speaking about Tanner Lee: "he's got a live arm, it whistles when he throws it. Maybe that's why he got picked off so much, the DBs can hear the ball coming." Lol.
Hilarious! It doesn't make much difference how hard you throw it, if you can't figure out what color jerseys your team is wearing......

How can a kid be this fast but can't jump I just thought for an Alabama star he would jump out of gym

Absolutely true. Tanner was a Rivals 2-star from New Orleans who got one offer - Tulane (New Orleans). Nobody else wanted him except the QB genius, Mike Riley; now, both are epic failures.

DL and LBs today. Hopefully Josey can make some money in the drills.

By the way, he measured in at 6'1" and 234 lbs., did 18 reps on the bench and had 32" arms.

and his ability to catch the football...very good hands.

You're underestimating it, especially with the role Wadley is supposed to serve in the NFL

Both Lorenzo Carter and Leon Jacobs ran sub 4.5 at around 250 pounds. There are some crazy athletes out there

Jewell and Wadley's stock dropped and they are going to make some team very happy with the value they will bring relative to their draft position. I don't think the Chargers are complaining.

To be fair, the chargers passed on King five times and thought 200 or some odd players were better too.

Why do you think Josey's stock dropped? Everybody on the telecast was saying that's what they expected him to run and that several teams loved his tape. Don't think his 40 time hurt his stock at all.

It definitely didn't help him. His tape may carry the day, but with all the athletic freaks in his position group that have put up incredible times, it's hard not to think he is falling on draft boards. Hopefully teams understand that what makes Josey special cannot be found on a stopwatch or a tape measure.

Point taken, but let's get facts right. He was picked at #151 and was passed on 4 times by the Chargers. Apparently they only thought 113 players were better, less than any other team in the league, and they are making out like bandits.
