That inside trip to win was almost in slow motion. The composure Hall shows while being down or a guy on his legs late on that stage is unreal for a teenager.
Unreal for anybody. He probably has the best mat awareness and ability to get out of jams than I have seen in a long time. My Lord the talent in this kid.
I thought the match was much closer because Hall gave 6 in that one position where he held on too long. Without that it's not close. Although you could argue Massa held on too long on Hall's inside trip/toss as well
Barring a feet to back move or leg lace, Garrett is going to Rio. Too much speed. Too much power.
Didn't see this match, but Marinelli threw a lot of stuff at him and didn't phase him a bit. Not sure how he does it, but he definitely makes it work.
Garrett hit with fleeing the hold and Ramos wins 3-3. Garrett is our future at this weight, but good win for Ramos.
Egg on face
That was a crime. Ramos had absolutely zero offense the entire match. Scored off one counter and ref handed him match. Anybody who complained about Frank's win yesterday should be twice as pissed at Ramos' win.
CHA claims another victim. I don't disagree with the call but Garrett was one of many on their horse to close out a match this weekend. Only one I recall being hit with fleeing the hold.
Ramos just keeps winning against Americans.
Tony has a good chance to win the tourney but will definitely have to pick up his offense. I still have my money on Dan Dennis winning this weight class as he can put up big points in a very short time frame.
