Day 2 PBP

That was a crime. Ramos had absolutely zero offense the entire match. Scored off one counter and ref handed him match. Anybody who complained about Frank's win yesterday should be twice as pissed at Ramos' win.

Which one? When he got exposed against Pico and they didn't call it? Or when he put on his trackshoes against guys. Ramos caught a break but Garrett was straight up running...he needed to stay in his ties.

Did Ramos jump the whistle too? :D

I didn't see this match, but it sounds like a lot of Ramos matches. Low scoring wins.

CHA claims another victim. I don't disagree with the call but Garrett was one of many on their horse to close out a match this weekend. Only one I recall being hit with fleeing the hold.

Ramos just keeps winning against Americans.

Totally agree. Never see that call. I get the shot clock, but just after getting put on the shot. During the shot clock the scoring comes off of Garrett's attack. No consistency with what you see with calls in other matches. Making the call with about 10 seconds left was horrible.

I did watch this match, but not very "up" on the Freestyle rules. If the Ref does not award points for exposure, is it reviewable? I guess I'm assuming they did and they didn't overturn the no call (don't recall the particulars at the time, I'm sure Smith commented on it and I didn't fully understand what was happening, or not happening in this case). Thanks in advance.

You don't typically see a ref call fleeing the hold with 12 seconds left, especially on the wrestler who has had 4 legit scoring attempts to the other guy's zero.

Lol how is that Karma? Did Garret officiate molinaro/metcalf? I'm not sure you understand the concept of Karma.

If you are not going to wrestle the center in freestyle, then you better be shooting...a lot. It's how Burroughs was successful initially but even he holds the center a heck of lot better than he used to.

I think he means a PSU fan seeing an Iowa wrestler win that way after they endured Frank's performances yesterday. The Karma thing is pretty dumb though if it's directed at this PSU fan considering I want to see Ramos win the thing.

Pico got the TD in on a double. They awarded him the TD. He lifted Frank's legs to expose his back, clearly did, and went over himself on a totally offensive move. Smith made the comment that it should have least been a two and two. As to why Pico's team didn't challenge it, I don't know.

I love the way your guys wrestle. Nolf, nickal, Taylor, Ruth, Retherford. Molinaro took more "injury"(gassed) times in his college career than anyone I can remember. PSU style of wrestling he does not represent.

He had just been put on the clock...and he literally had the only real shots of the match. Pushing is not offense. It was a job. I'm over it, on to the next one.

Fair enough I guess..

Pico got in on a double, they awarded him two. He lifted it to expose Frank and ended up rolling himself. Smith couldn't understand why it wasn't at least 2 and 2. Don't know why Pico's team didn't challenge it.

You don't attend say B1G's or NCAA's? The crowd cheers loudest

Mullet mania isn't working for Herbert?
I guess I'm not looking at these guys in terms of what university they attend. I'm kinda looking at them as Americans that may represent our country in the greatest sport ever invented.

I wondered the same thing chief when watching yesterday guess have to blame it on his corner. That was in the 2nd match and Pico would have won and it would have been over. I heard Smith say the same thing.

Would be nice if that's how everyone saw it, but check twitter and you find you are in the minority. A lot of Iowa hate right after the Ramos match.
