The idea of building a 2,000 mile wall for billions of dollars, and expecting some other country to pay for it, is absurd. It should disqualify anyone that thinks its a good idea from holding office.

What's silly and wasteful about building a wall that will keep drugs and undocumented workers out of the country. Its has to be part of any comprehensive solution.
Well, I have a Mexican friend, (Mexicans love me by the way) who snuck in twice, and he sure thinks it would slow down the problem. (And he says it will kill the human trafficking that is a much bigger problem than we Americans realize.)
People in AZ and TX sure think it would slow down the flow.

I agree with keeping illegals out of our country. Building a wall is a complete waste of time and money.

Absolutely. We have difficuly contolling the drug traffic.... (direct pipeline to Chicago/LA/heroin to New Hampine are examples), illegals steal our citizen's jobs, disrupt/increase the cost our social service/entitlement programs, import diseases, taxes our healthcare system, a source of killers, rapists/ taxing our law enforcement agencies and criminal justice system......just for starters.

You could have voter ID easy if you were willing to horse trade. What would you give Ds that they want? Make a deal.

To be honest, the Real ID is going to have a lot of effect on illegals coming over. It might be the only good thing about the Real ID.
I've been thinking about this. Instead of allowing/keeping all those illegals in the country, costing us all those jobs, taxing our welfare system, taking our jobs, stretching our criminal justice/courts/prison system, drug enforcement budgets......maybe we could make a deal.... give you Democrats an additional 10% voter allowance or use some kind of formula. So say you got 1,000 votes.....instead we'd give you 1100. Something like that. Trump says that you guys make such crappy deals (Iran, Putin,Syria, Cuba, etc.) I'm not worried ....we'd come out way
ahead.
The details of your plan are a bit hazy for me. Are you saying if we give you voter ID and spend the money to round up the illegals, you would agree Rs are 90% of a person?
There are some things I enjoy about that notion, but in general I would be motivated to pair voter ID with some democratic voter reforms like automatic registration and mailed ballots to all voters. Immigration isn't an obvious pairing unless you want to grant them citizenship.

Like the Blacks, the Democrats could care less about the down trodden Mexicans, they just want them as a bargaining chip to further their social agenda. Illegals don't vote. I admit the Ds are protecting the rights of citizens and if you want to restrict their rights you need to give something useful. Nothing is free. If you insist on sexual laws you might offer polygamy but it's mainly your team that practices that abomination so you may need to reach deeper.

I'm efficient, I solved all your problems by just mailing a ballot to their home. No need to even have polling places. Every citizen is automatically registered when their SSN shows they are 18. Everyone gets a ballot sent out. Put them in Spanish on the reverse side if you like. Now we don't even need IDs, but I'd give them to you if you want them.

Restricting voting rights by requiring government paperwork is an attack on rights. That should come with a high price. Polygamy is mainly a conservative religious thing and one of the few sexual issues still illegal. What did you have in mind?
