She's a good player. If the refs call fouls appropriately that's one thing, but she did nothing wrong.
Can we still blame free throws for the loss? Even though it's Ohio State choking and Iowa being clutch at the end of regulation that got Iowa to OT.
Damn - good fight by the ladies. The ultimate woulda, coulda, shoulda game. Also makes midseason hole they dug that much more painful
The fouls called were bad. There was no consistency from one end to the other. OSU could chuck and push but a feather light touch from us was a foul.

I would agree that is part of it, She also doesn’t square up with good footwork quite often.

It took a lot of gas to get to OT and they had no fouls to give. Shit just snowballs after that.
One helluva miracle comeback to get to OT. Battling an overrated OSU and the usual three incompetent sidekicks proved too much in OT . . . with two Iowa starters having fouled out and two others with 4 fouls. Meanwhile, OSU's starting FB takes the handoff up the middle time after time after time, and it's an automatic foul. Iowa takes it to the hoop and, well, good luck with that say the officials. Bullshit.

Look, I’m not trying to be an ass to you in particular. It’s just the things some of our fans say are baffling to me..
A finisher?! She shot eight of 21 from the field. That’s not very good for someone who takes pretty much all of their shots driving to the basket…. If she got called for the fouls she commits per game she’d average about 15 minutes.
She’s not a basketball player she’s a football player. And I’m not normally that petty but I’ve watched this girl play a shit ton. She just runs people over.

Yes…. once again, how little some people, not our fans, but many people on the national stage still don’t understand the CC effect.
Hannah is a solid player but with the right point guard she looks like a superstar. She’s equally not good enough yet and still better than some of our really petty fans act like.
Some games she’s awesome, some so so. Kind of like our whole team really. But honestly, I’m not really that mad about this game outside of the fact that I swear the convenience of the foul calls was really arbitrary.

I totally agree with this… I said it last year when we played Ohio State out there. Cotie McMahon fouls 50% of the time she drives into the lane. How about she ran into Hannah and all they called was Hannah knocked the ball out of bounds, what the holy hell!
I 100% agree! They struggle with fundamentals, dribbling, passing, shoot ft, game situations, rebounding, valuing the BBall, etc. Hell, I about fainted today because OGrady almost left the floor today, did she even get 1 rebound?
I think they are referring to making a few shots through contact, which hannah hasn't been doing.

All of these women miss lots of layups, every team that plays Ohio State turns the ball over a shit ton, 18 by Iowa is an absolute win considering where they were early in the season… We lost this game because we shot 29% in the first half.
Ava Hyden was not going to win this basketball game for us and An O’Grady actually has helped us win a few. You just have no clue what you’re talking about.

This isn't a Final Four team. But they just took a top 10 team to OT on the road after trailing by 13 at the half....and by 9 with under a minute left.

This game is the reason I was disappointed that Iowa didn’t get Audie Crooks. She would have been an immediate and substantial upgrade over O’Grady and Iowa would be battling for another B10 title. Bonus: a couple hard fouls for freight train McMahon.
Best Case scenario is they get a backside of the bracket, maybe climb up to a 7 seed against a beatable 10 and then play a 2.
Worst case scenario right now we are a 8/9, and even if we beat the 8, we're looking at a 1 in the round of 32.
Right now, ESPN has us against Creighton first round (winnable,) but then at Texas (brutal).
