We have Petras after two more seasons of NS, we are just fine at QB.
Maybe a small chance he commits somewhere. Literally a zero percent chance he commits to Minnesota.
I can say with 100% certainty ... I have no idea where this 17-year-old kid will continue his education ... and that's okay ...

Duggan's comments about Minnesota. “I’ve had a good relationship with Coach [P.J.] Fleck and Coach Kirk Ciarrocca, the QB coach,” Duggan said. “I’ve stayed in touch with them. And we’ve been communicating back and forth, building that relationship.”
Minnesota has hosted Duggan a couple of times already. This time around, Duggan wants to take a good look at the newly opened football facility.
Notre Dame has been his favorite team since he was younger. Got an offer last month on his unofficial visit there. Would be surprised if he doesn't commit there. After all the back and forth between Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska fans about him have a feeling in the end he spurns us all.
Kirk got tired of beating John boat Cpt for recruits . Kirk has flipped more Gopher commits than a short order breakfast cook.
They only have like 1 D1 QB on the entire roster , might like the clear road to playing time , why else go to that school.
If he goes to Minney it's pretty clear he doesn't want to have to compete against other top talent for the position. Congrats to him and us. He'll do the least amount of damage to us playing for those gomers. And Fleck will be out of there by the time he's a redshirt sophomore. Hope not, but I'm sure he will.
This is why I love Iowa fans. He would go to Minnesota because he's scared of Iowa competition.

Bingo.....Duggan would sit for quite awhile...if not his career at Iowa. He has done nothing yet to tell anyone otherwise. Playing time is really important to most kids obviously....Iowa coaches are know for telling kids they will have to work to earn anything. If PJF is preaching the "you will be our starter from day one" crap then why not if you are a 18yr old high school kid? PJF has already been outed for the "promise" recruiting technique.
Hey Goldy give me the Gophers overall record since Fry took over at Iowa. Iowas record is 286- 186 -6 in that time frame .
Looks like Iowa may be hard pressed to lure Duggan in April. Stranger things have happened. He has quite an offer list. Perhaps the gomers actually have a pretty good shot at landing him. But that would be the last place I would think he would want to enroll. An underachieving program lead by a cheerleader who may be gone in 3 years if he doesn’t start winning. Duggan is a talented young man and I would love to see him go somewhere that is not on our schedule each year. I would also hate to see his dreams fade away in a place like gomerville.
