Eierman Arrested

Who says he's more educated? And secondly, more educated doesn't mean correct. Third, all my life I've seen little change unless the criminals want to change. So we let them run wild? Bleeding hearts are fine until real blood is shed.

People who drive drunk regularly drive drunk. People that make a living by committing crimes or commit crimes do not want to change. The last thing I need is listen to some guy who studied social work. It's not building a bridge, or programming a computer, it's a soft science of dubious results.
If you're referring to me, you struck out on that assumption. In my studies I certainly steered clear of anything remotely resembling social work!! That, and psychology and philosophy, definitely not for me. And I've done a whole lot of blue collar work in my life, with my greatest respect going to farmers.

What is your point? Nowhere did I say DUIs shouldn’t be punished. People who commit them are usually habitual drunk drivers.

It’s low hanging fruit though. Where are fines for violent crime? DUIs are a money making enterprise, other crimes are a money losing enterprise for the state.

I’m not saying DUIs shouldn’t be punished, im saying other crimes should be taken as seriously . Maybe if we had mothers against assault and rape , MAAAR bleeding hearts might want to do something about them.
Do you have hatred for people who are "bleeding hearts" or are labeled "liberal"? Simply because they have different ideas than you? Are you wanting a country where everyone thinks and acts the same as you? (because you are right, and others are wrong....right?)

Well I dooooo have a Masters Degree, but I honestly don’t hold much stock in it. It’s a piece of paper I got by writing a lot of papers and I only got it so I could earn more paper. I’ve met a lot of really dumb people with degrees and some really sharp folks who don’t have one.
Will Rogers said: "Everyone is ignorant, only on different subjects." The people with degrees that you claim are dumb, I"m guessing they're very smart about some things, and ignorant about other things....just as we all are! I have some pretty good knowledge about certain things in life, and I'm very ignorant about a lot of things in life -- does that then make me dumb?? Conversely, the people who you say are really sharp, but lack a college degree, I guarantee you they're ignorant about many things in life....but does that make them smart or dumb? Bottom line -- a college degree, or lack thereof, does not make you "smart" or "dumb" -- EVERYONE is ignorant about many things in life.

Allow me to give you a for instance. I was recently subjected to multiple lectures from a dude with a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration who received his undergrad in Criminal Justice. (He was sure to mention it many times). Below are list of phrases he uttered incorrectly:

Vegetable “melody” not medley
“Vanilla” envelope not manila
Working “stratosphere” not atmosphere
“Artificial” wounds not superficial
“Decent” decree not consent
“Dramatic” entry instead of dynamic

The man was stuck on stupid. I’m convinced his degrees are from Iowa St.

People in California who murder or rape are not being arrested, convicted and incarcerated?? Exaggerating and being facetious doesn't help your argument.

Shall I post more?

Why would anyone care what a dude from PA and a dude from Indiana think about a CA law? I live in CA, it’s been bad.

it's a good illustration that this whole "all issues with crime is because Democrats won't send anyone to jail" narrative that you and the twister are going with is a little disingenuous

i thought that would be fairly evident to someone with all the credentials you have

CA is OVERWHELMINGLY Democratic. There are a handful of Conservativish areas in CA (Guess what? Relatively low crime in those areas). Republican politicians from other states didn’t create the bad laws in CA, the terrible CA ones did.

Democrats have a history of being soft on crime. Even Obama released thousands.

Credentials don't necessarily mean much. I know many with impressive degrees that are still dumber than dirt. I don't parade my credentials around and I have them. I also know people with similar credentials to what I have and they are still clueless.

You really don't get it, do you? Apparently you consider yourself far above this person you consider to be stupid. So Cal, ALL people are essentially the same - that's a foundational truth in Christian teaching. To consider others to be below you is a definition of arrogance. ALL people are both intelligent and ignorant -- including you, me and this lecturer.

You do realize that you're coming across as being quite arrogant, don't you?? "I am intelligent, and others are dumber than dirt and clueless."

Wait huh? Everyone is the same? Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge. Some people are really bad at this (they are referred to scientifically as dumb dumbs) and some really good at this. Some folks have really high IQs and are better at reasoning. My whole point is that one can acquire collegiate degrees and still have low intelligence.

Off season cesspool is the best!

I assume that you place me into the dumb dumb category --- good to know where I stand with you.

Huh? Dumb? No way, a bit sensitive? Perhaps. Folks are allowed to disagree, if you took my attempt at civil discourse as a personal insult towards you, I apologize. Certainly wasn’t my intention. All good, go Hawks?

Then, you totally misread me. I do have credentials; but, that doesn't necessarily make me intelligent. Many dumb people have credentials. My credentials don't make me smart. I could have credentials and still be quite dumb. My comments/arguments/advice define whether or not I am smart and not my credentials. That is why I don't flaunt my degrees. They can be meaningless. Biden has a nice degree and he is a total dummy.

i find that most intelligent people think all the bad things in the world are caused by the politicians they don't like and their supporters

nothing is smarter than devotion to hyper-partisan politics

You've done a lot of talking without actually saying anything in this thread; just a lot of contentious bolstering that comes off as talking down to people. Awareness is one of the most important forms of intelligence and it doesn't seem you have a ton.

I guess what's puzzling me is your supposed ability to discern that someone is dumb or not (besides, it's a word that is so subjective). I don't recall ever meeting anyone who I would consider dumb, and would certainly not insult them with that word. Ignorant about some things? Sure, as we all are. They think or act in a way that I disagree with? Naturally! But if I call someone dumb, I'm inferring that I'm superior to them. Is that what you're inferring?

Thank you so much for your kind words. Maybe some day I'll be a great person like you.

I don't go around calling people dumb. Some people are simply that way regardless of education level. Some people with very little education are brilliant. As they say, "the proof is in the pudding". My comments should stand or fall on their own merit and not my background in education.

It appears that you are referring to me, so, I will reciprocate. You are now on my "ignore".
Well, that escalated quickly…
