Eierman Arrested

Do you have hatred for people who are "bleeding hearts" or are labeled "liberal"? Simply because they have different ideas than you? Are you wanting a country where everyone thinks and acts the same as you? (because you are right, and others are wrong....right?)
Yes! Imo its not the hate of the person as much as their ridiculous policies, lack of respect for our history and the people and policies that got us here. IE…..crazy school boards and leaders, trans BS kids, border ignorance, defund cops, once great cities like seattle, LA, SF, NY, chicago that are now shithole dumpster fires, fentenol epidemic, criminals in the whitehouse, BS green agenda…..everyone of their(libtards) policies are to destroy america.

Good reason to hate on them and their initiatives and policies!

This feel fake but if not - Jesus Christ dude, it must be terrifying living in your world.

Thanks for showing us how much we’ve progressed. Two steps forward, 78 felony counts backwards. So far…

If the U.S. is really that bad, you should move to another country, because I promise you it's not going to improve. By the way, I agree it's really bad, but my view is that the cause is a moral and ethical degradation of society, and not due to some liberal-conservative, Democrat-Republican, small town-big city dynamic. ALL are to blame.

moral free-fall

moral and ethical degradation of society
To what cause do you attribute this?

What specifically of the American culture / experience has led to this purported societal-wide degradation?

Is it endemic of our western culture or did some event / situation trigger it?

What solutions might you propose to renew the moral and ethical fortitude of society?

Have you ever read "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand, and if so do you remember what it says about an individual's moral code (in contrast to society's norms)?

How might the interplay between mores, folkways, and institutional ways in a society factor in to your asserted decline of society, as a whole?

I'd also be interested in specific statistical examples of the measures that demonstrate this decline.

Interesting. One glaring contributor to the societal decline is "fatherless homes".

Wow, a lot to unpack there! Definitely don't care to attempt a response/begin a discussion on this board -- better done late night with pizza, wine and listening to The Band (in memory of Robbie Robertson).

A good start - one of many factors.

Do you think that a person raped or severely injured cares? Do you think they really pay those fines?
no i don't. but here's your comment i was replying to:
What is your point? Nowhere did I say DUIs shouldn’t be punished. People who commit them are usually habitual drunk drivers.

It’s low hanging fruit though. Where are fines for violent crime? DUIs are a money making enterprise, other crimes are a money losing enterprise for the state.

I’m not saying DUIs shouldn’t be punished, im saying other crimes should be taken as seriously . Maybe if we had mothers against assault and rape , MAAAR bleeding hearts might want to do something about them.
to me, that looks like you saying we should punish violent crimes like we punish DUI...with fines (which i agree is absolutely idiotic)

Will Rogers said: "Everyone is ignorant, only on different subjects." The people with degrees that you claim are dumb, I"m guessing they're very smart about some things, and ignorant about other things....just as we all are! I have some pretty good knowledge about certain things in life, and I'm very ignorant about a lot of things in life -- does that then make me dumb?? Conversely, the people who you say are really sharp, but lack a college degree, I guarantee you they're ignorant about many things in life....but does that make them smart or dumb? Bottom line -- a college degree, or lack thereof, does not make you "smart" or "dumb" -- EVERYONE is ignorant about many things in life.
ignorant is a choice, and the term should be reserved for those that make themselves that way. You can be unknowledgable without being ignorant.

Agreeing with an earlier poster, much to unpack here. Having witnessed the way in which personal hostilities really can spin-out-of-control …

So as not to forget.

Causes for America’s decline? That’s deep and nothing we can hang on The Riddler, but I’ll bite.
A biggie was straying from the Founder’s intent that legislators be farmers/craftsmen/tradesmen who left fields or shops for two years, then returned to their vocations. After such time squabbling over laws for non-lucrative pay, they’d be eager to get back.
Of course, humans being human and power being corruptive, politicians crafted and cemented their role into one of wealth, privilege, perks, and the fame that comes with it. On both sides of today’s aisle are too many men and women seeking only to serve themselves, country be damned.

At least we can't blame this on our youngest generations.

I don't see the difference between unknowledgable and ignorant. Neither did Will Rogers.

I am ignorant of subsequent posts of those I've placed on ignore. I am knowledgeable of the reasons that I placed someone on ignore. If a poster I have on ignore shares some knowledge that I do not know, then I will be blissfully ignorant of that morsel.

I believe certain connotations were implied that:
  1. Ignorant people choose to ignore.
  2. Unknowledgeable people may unwittingly remain in the dark.

Ok, you guys forced me to once again become more educated. I looked up the definition of ignorant and it is... "lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about a particular thing." Based on that, it appears that unknowledgable and ignorant are synonyms.

It’s the quality of the stupidity being parsed, imo. Some might argue the “state,” of the stupidity in question. Others might make recommendations to consider subtle, cultural tendencies for true meaning..

I caveated as connotation (not denotation), and indicated what I believed was implied by those professing a difference.

Hollywood has very little to offer me and very little of interest to me. If you want to see a movie of a little girl's dolly, knock yourself out. :p
It's a not so subtle allegorical flim. Could be like another book with which you might be more familiar.

I see you haven't actually identified anything you heard as being in the film that you oppose.

If he did not watch it, how would he identify what he doesn't like. That is like saying you do not want to listen to a Trump speech because you dislike him. Then someone asks what did you dislike about the speech. You would only know if you listened to it. However, you know ahead of time that you do not want to listen, so you just say there are a lot of things you don't want to hear or don't agree with. Seems like the same scenario to me.

Follow along.. twister said the opposition is based on what was heard. And so that is what I asked: What was heard that is in the movie that twister is opposed to. @jneffer and @el dub get it. So seems to @sstark46

I never really got the “Faux News” thing. I’m no French expert but isn’t it pronounced as “Fo?” As in “Feux shizzle, feux sho.”
Faux means fake in French. Fox has been an opinion/cult indoctrination tool but their “news,” isn’t really, innit?

I mean, for instance, do you know how many felony charges the last prez has caught, so far? Could a person learn that figure from Fox? While I doubt it’s been publicized in some echo chambers, I do consider it news of the highest order and importance.
