ESPN Pollack 100 % Alabama Beats Iowa, Then said Million Sure

Pollack is just a big hater of all things Big Ten, Iowa, or anything without the letter "S", "E", and "C".

I had the good fortune to be back stage for ESPN Gameday in Indy when Iowa played for the B10 chip. Some will recall that Dallas Clark was a guest that morning. I was standing right next to Pollack when Dallas was being introduced and walking to the stage. Pollack said told me he was overrated and wouldn't of been much without Peyton Manning. My buddy had to almost put me in a headlock so we didn't get kicked out. But I did manage to remind him that Manning wasn't playing at Iowa when Dallas won the Mackey Award. The guy is a grade A tool.

This Alabama thing is ludicrous. Who the hell among these sarcastic talking heads "imagined" Iowa beating Ohio State 55-24? Not a damn one. So it's blatantly self-serving "logic" to say that no one could "imagine" Alabama going to Kinnick and getting run out of the stadium when the same was true of Ohio State before it happened.

Those of you who think Iowa couldn't have beaten Alabama on Nov. 4 are suffering from SEC/ESPN hype. As others have pointed out, Alabama couldn't even win its own division and will be sitting at home with the other nobodies when two other teams play in the SEC championship game on Saturday.

I don't understand why they felt the need spend so much time talking about Ohio State. As far as I was concerned, tOSU was out of the playoff conversation once they lost to Iowa.

Given tOSU's resume, nobody would even be talking about them if they weren't tOSU.

Same for Alabama. Their resume is worse than Iowa’s in 2015 AFTER they lost to MSU.

Does Saban win because he has better talent than everyone else or because he is a great coach? He was average at MSU, .585 vs .688 for Dantonio. 15-17 in the NFL where the talent is pretty much even.
Its all about the Jimmys and the Joes. I've said this numerous times on here. If Saban or Meyer had coached at Kansas or ISU they be 7-5 type coaches, and not the legends that everyone makes them out to be.

Well, I agree with you, but here's the issue:

1) Clemson wins, Auburn wins, Oklahoma wins - those three all go to the playoff
2) Wisconsin loses to OSU - who is the fourth playoff team?

I think on that one day we could have beat anyone; including Alabama. I didn't even recognise our team Nov 4th? I think a Pro team snuck in and put our players jerseys on. Lol.
It wasn't the players. It was the uniforms! You could fly too if you wore Superman's suit!

Iowa's beating Ohio State by 31 and scoring 55 points is something that the so called College Playoff Experts can't seem to get over. I don't know if this is disrespect of Iowa, or hatred of Ohio State,
probably both. The show reruns at 10 and 10:30 on ESPNU tonight. Iowa would match up good against Alabama, I would say we would win 1 out 5.

In Iowa City on that day, we beat their ass. In Bama they run our ass into Mobile bay.

Anybody that actually watched that Iowa vs OSU game would know that if Iowa played that way against Bama, we would probably pull away from them too. Iowa basically played a flawless game.

Pollack doesn't know what he's talking about. Also, Bama looks down this year and their schedule is weak af

It was as flawless a game as you will ever see. Kept wondering when they would falter. Just kept going in all its glory. Proper welcome for Urban to Kinnick. We luv ya bro!

And furthermore is 20% good by anybody’s standards....? Little too close to the Mendoza line foe me.

Off topic, but the Mendoza line is one of my favorite names for futility in all of sports. I think we should start a new one: For any team with a 5-7 record that gets a bowl invitation we should say that they Nebraska'd into a bowl game. ;)

Against my better judgement, I'd like to see Alabama play Iowa at Kinnick, at night, and in the middle of November when the temperature is around 15 degrees.

Can they handle anything colder than 60?
That would never happen....just like Iowa not playing another out of conference P5 team. Nobody does it and definitely not any SEC teams venturing north.
