Ferrari to UNC??

Hmmmm, this right here could be part of the problem. Can't blame anyone though due to length and redundancy. Too much repetition of the same assertions, IMO.

I did find it funny though that you tried to argue that you weren't intending to argue for arguing's sake. That one was classic. I hope the skimmers didn't miss out on that little gem.

Stalker Alert! Stalker Alert! I knew you couldn't resist, you were hanging around here too long and indirection only got you so far. Each and every time you contribute, you multiply my enjoyment exponentially.

For how you like to poke at my self-awareness, I wonder if you may need to consider your own in the process...

Still, thank you for hopping in and brightening my day! ;)

LMFAO, obfuscation at its finest. You have literally no idea of the whys and hows related to what was or wasn't done to bring in AJ or even who made the final decision and what exactly that was. It is 100% conjecture based on your hate. Also, you absolutely do care about how good he is on the mat or you wouldn't have tried to diminish it in the first place.

If you had said the first part of your first sentence at the very beginning, none of these posts would have happened. But, you absolutely made sure to diminish his wrestling on top of everything else.

Oh, and I am sorry I fell several hundred words short of 500...

Sorry that I trust what I have heard and who I heard it from. It isn’t like others haven’t talked about it as well. Believe what you want but I think you’re kidding yourself.

Its very easy to believe something when it is exactly what you want to hear. Regardless, I never even said you are wrong for feeling the way you do about keeping AJ away. Even if I don't understand such blind hatred. I just took issue with acting like AJ isn't about as good as it realistically gets for talent and production at the upper weights...

With that said, I can digress and am more than willing to say there are plenty of things you type on here that I fully agree with. Just because I take issue with you on this topic, doesn't mean I have any issue with you as a poster. If you don't feel the same, I apologize if how I post makes you feel that way.

AJ is one hell of a wrestling talent. He’s very good. I’ve never said otherwise.

Also, plenty of the guys that get in trouble start out at good teams, but just don't stay there. OkState just had Marsteller and AJ. It's not like there weren't red flags for either before they got there....
Which is exactly why I said you don't see MANY kids getting into trouble at good programs on a DAILY BASIS - sorry to channel my inner ironturd.

Let it go man, you do not always have to have the last word.

Common ground. Maybe I mistook the way you seemed to "de-value" his talent level, allowing this argument to snowball. Throw in the almost blind hatred you have relentlessly shown all things AJ and it became hard for me to see it any other way.

I do respect your opinion, even if I disagree with it. I simply felt he was talented enough and did enough this season to warrant another detailed look, even if that look required him to check off so many boxes to almost make it impossible for him to pass...

Some guys actually do eventually grow up and out of their bad ways, even if it takes much longer than it should...

An article about AJ’s transfer just cans through my news feed. He was making it sound like he chose UNC over Iowa, PSU and Okie State. Does anyone think he even had offers from the mentioned schools?
There seemed to some spin throughout the whole process, but honestly, who cares, it's all good. He's found his way back from the wilderness to a major program, so kudos to him. I hope he seizes the opportunity.

Sorry, I know I kept this thread alive much longer than necessary, but I can be selfish as a fan. Knowing there is no way in hell he would end up at MSU, I selfishly wanted to see him win back to back titles with his brother and, in a perfect world, stay out of trouble and end up being a decent redemption story.

Something like that could go a LONG WAY towards helping Iowa recruit in the long run. Now, that doesn't mean I don't understand there are risks and AJ could have done something to hurt the program, I was just more willing to take those risks than others...

Maybe the guy is as bad as you make him out to be. There just isn't near the undeniable evidence out there to make it near as clear cut as you portray...
Getting booted from Blair and OSU are undeniable. A serious reckless driving incident that nearly took multiple lives is undeniable. Various disgusting social media posts are undeniable. Giving the finger to the spectators at the SS is undeniable. These alone are enough to deny him admission.
