Fight at end of Kansas / Kansas State game

Yeah, what the hell?

And they had to play out the last one second. I think the announcer was right, had to finish it out because of gambling.

Agreed that is a stupid rule. The last thing needed is to bring them all together again. I’m pretty sure KU only had 3 players on the floor. It will be interesting to see the discipline handed out after this.

Lol. De Sousa, who finished the game with a final stat line of 0 points, 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 blocks, 1 turnover, and 2 fouls (In other words, had zero impact on the game), had to try to make his presence felt after a swat as time expired. What a clown. I hope Self either benches him for the rest of the year or says “see ya”

Piece of shot stands over the guy after the block.

he deserved to get a tooth knocked out

Not condoning his actions, but he did just have the ball stolen from him as he was trying to dribble out the clock. Clearly he crossed the line standing over the KSU player, who was not completely innocent. Plenty of ‘what not to do’s’ in this one. I would be disgusted to be a fan of either one of these programs.

McCormack, the guy who did the (literal) stomping should be out for a good long while as well. Agbaji was heavily involved once it spilled into the stands, as well.

To me that was the catalyst that precipitated the fight,
Kansas dude standing over the player on the floor after the block/foul. The Kansas St player that ran over to move the Kansas player was just protecting his teammate.
They'll be suspensions for multiple games when this is all sorted out....

All it took was a douche like him to cause that melee'. Oh, he had an impact alright. He and possibly others may not see the floor again for awhile.

The KSU player deserved it for stealing the ball while De Sousa was just trying to run the clock.

Absolutely NOT representative of Bill Self. Actually the exact opposite. Self is a 100% classy guy. The woofing by DeSousa, 0% class.

And that is why I applaud Fran the couple times he made his players immediately go to the locker room after the game and not shake hands because both instances he did tensions were high. You have really competitive guys and sometimes this happens when emotions are high (it shouldn’t happen but still does). I tried explaining this to Cyclone fans after Fran got everyone to the locker room when Prohm grabbed J-Bo but of course they only see it as disrespect and lack of sportsmanship. Uh, no it’s called protecting all the players and both universities. Weber even admitted he takes some blame for not telling KSU players to back off.

Unbelievable ending. You see Moss trying to hold someone back. Can’t imagine him as much of a scrapper.

Bush league met with douch baggery.

Moss doesn't fit in with this team. And I'm not even referring to his play with that comment. Kansas has shown what kind of program they are.

While everybody loves to jump all over these young men, coaches, in my opinion, shoulder as much or more of the blame.

I really don't think it's that big of deal. I hate when Fraschallia & announcers say "this is terrible. There's no point to this. It's sad." So much for play-by-play, now we have to hear your lame opinions on the ugly ending.

Guy steals the ball so the other guys retaliate. Things get heated & a fight happens. Then everybody goes home.

yeah did you see the haymaker Self smacked Weber with?

POW!
Coaches can do better in regards to prepping their team on how to handle various scenarios, including this not uncommon scenario in Allen Fieldhouse.

If we are being technical, it was a major body foul before the block... But yeah, major POS.

Wow. Unreal shiite! Two Kansas players (#10 & #35?) both throw the first punches at the same time, hitting each other's arms. I believe trying to hit the same KSU redshirt trying to save his teammate... Then all HELL breaks loose!

But what POS' they KU players were. Complete P.O.S. I mean, 3 or 4 Kansas players kicking a redshirt freshman while he was on the ground is just Fn nuts. If they are banded the remainder of the year, that is fine with me!

I was thinking the same thing.

Do we make too big a deal out of this? I can see how emotions can get that high sometimes. And some times young men fight.

Someone wins the fight, someone loses the fight, and everyone goes home.

This is different than a basketball fight, but sadly these days, with a bar fight... you don't know if it's gonna be a lowlife coward like the one who stabbed CJ Beathard's brother. Just mind boggling. Should have just been a fist fight. Sitting in prison 50 years from now, I wonder what that POS will be thinking.
