Finals thread

Shut up idiot. Hall is the best recruit since who knows when. He was as college ready as you can be.
And earlier in the year none of you predicted a national championship. None of you. In fact many said Cael was being selfish for pulling his shirt and not allowing him to be a 4 time champ. You know that. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know...

I never thought that. Anyone who watched the scuffle could see he was capable of winning it.

Refs decided the final two matches. I think they were caught up in the Penn State hype. Makes it difficult to stomach the sport I love. We've been saying this for years and I'm losing hope it will get better.

Despite this, some great wrestling tonite :)

Seriously that was as bad as I've seen it. And to the benefit of Bael Sanderson, a total scumbag.

No reason for PSU fans to come in here gloating, same with referencing any of the football stuff. My impression is that most of these PSU guys seem pretty decent, and aside from stockpiling talent however he does it, Cael does too.

Dead serious. Understand I'm not saying he's bad. Just saying he wasn't worthy of the outsized praise thrown his way.

Again, what was his marquee win in college?
Marquee would be 2 National championships...unless, of course, you're saying beating an opponent on the biggest stage, in the finals, in collegiate wrestling doesn't translate to a "marquee" win. No question his nemesis was Dake but outside of that he dominated...yes he got caught by Jenkins as a Frosh but it happens. Can't say he didn't dominate bro...you can count his collegiate losses, in four years, on 1 hand.

You suck at posting

Bro, what was his marquee win in college. Name me the match that you'd point to showing DT as otherworldly.

Plenty of two time champs never got the same press.

Who in college has ever had "otherworldly" wins...define that? That question doesn't make sense. I understand your direction but I think your off...dude has like 3 losses in college. Can only beat who's in front of you, and oh by the way, can make the finals...cuz that's where he resided. Again, lost to Dake and Jenkins...no one else. I'd venture to say that's a damn good collegiate career man.

So no answer? I can think of two really good guys he faced - Jenkins and Dake - and he got torched by both. His best win after that is probably beating Derek St John when he was a freshman.

For example, if you asked me for a good win by Metcalf, I'd say his whipping of Jordan Burroughs, or his many destructions of Jenkins, the same guy who crushed Taylor.

86 gets a free pass with me. All of these Penn State douchebsgs coming over here acting like idiots. Talk about living rent free in someone's head, seconds after winning the title they migrate here.

Not gloating just excited. But, I thought the record was 5 championships not 6?

I think he means individual championships in a single tournament
