Gender Warz—-boxing edition

You - as per usual - are such an a-hole.
I asked because I hadn’t read anything that answered those questions - but thank you for determining that I’m stupid.
I still do not think that a transitioned person retaining the XY should compete in athletics against XX persons. Their bone structure and mass will always be that of an XY.
That’s my stupid opinion and I’m not alone in that.

I think this is the part where I tell you to GFY?
She’s not trans, though. She’s also only 36-9 in her career with only 4 KO’s. She didn’t medal last Olympics.

Is there a rule she can’t have an xy?
Odds that such a rare “condition” is suddenly present in two people much less one, they show up to compete in one sport and in the current atmosphere suddenly the IOC goes against what another governing body has determined.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

I said your post was stupid (not you), which it was stupid given all the information in this thread that you're happy to overlook in order to continue your weird stance on this one. You have always been very adamant about someone being born with a penis means they're a man and someone being born with lady parts is a lady.

Yet here we are, you're calling someone born with lady parts a "he" because you hate their bone structure and testosterone levels despite her being a woman.

The other governing body hasn’t disclosed exactly what they were DQ’d for.

It’s strange, sure. But doesn’t seem impossible.

Trying to differentiate and backtrack on what or who is stupid is stupid.
The bone structure and body muscle mass is different and permanent.

And again you decide that I hate? Who the flying Phuck do you think you are to say I “hate”???
I do not hate transgenders. I simply do not endorse average athletic men who grow hair long, take hormones and wear lipstick but keep their damn schlong and then jump in a pool and claim they’re one of the girls.
It just doesn’t bode well for women’s athletics.

Rant over but do not come at me MF. Again. Ever.
Ain’t in the mood.

It’s not impossible but Dr. Google says it’s exceedingly rare. And it certainly gives the athlete an advantage.
The IOC takes great pains to eliminate doping and making sure the athletes are competing on a level playing field. This is a development that could open up a world of problems for them.

i don't think many people have an issue with this woman not being allowed to compete - even for those of us able to acknowledge there are shades of grey and nuance with this issue, you have to draw the line somewhere and maybe it's here (i don't really know)

i think what most of us have an issue with is the "OMG LOOK AT THIS DUDE BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF A WOMAN!!!" and reposting blatantly wrong and (more importantly) completely unfunny tweets and memes about it

You’re right, it could, but we don’t know if they were doping. All we know is they are cisgender women that have masculine features.

And yet I think we’d agree we think the Women’s Rugby matches were pretty amazing 🤩
Ilona Maher has over two million followers on social media. I’m a fan cause she’s funny and she is brutal in game.

Happens in 1 in 15,000 births but most live unaware of this… why??? Cuz nobody does a genetic or T test. Those that find out are women who have difficulty getting pregnant.

And apparently most never take up boxing either. 🤔

Before some asshat asks where are the libs standing up to this. Here I am, saying it's not right to have a biological male competing with females.
I am an independent considered a commie lib by our conservatives, and a war mongering conservative by our libs, and I too think this is preposterous.

He was pointing out the obvious. You jumped to conclusions before actually educating yourself just like elon and all his other mouth breathers have done on social media today. It was laid out in this thread and posted links. Yet you still posted the BS original post. At least walk it back.

These two boxers are not trans. They have always been women. Sounds like they might have XY chromosomes, but female genital's which I guess is way more common than you think and most men or women with this do not even know or do not fin out until later in life. And, the Tunisian fighter was in a prior Olympics so they have boxed before.

And it's happened before...

I learned about this 37 years ago in my high school biology class….

And have we not all seen this before in women, long before trans was more common? Extremely masculine looking women physically. JFC. But let’s go ahead and make it a libs in US thing even though it involves IOC and Algeria.

You can tell Trump is free falling in the polls.

Unpossible.

Algeria is 99% Sunni Muslim.
They'd have thrown any intersex person off a building, long ago.

Any how are any Muslim country's women boxing w/o burkhas on?
Per @ClarindaA's

I jumped the gun and assumed she was a trans athlete. I'll admit it. As mentioned, her situation certainly creates an interesting conversation and what's "fair" in competition.
I read that the initial DQ came from the IBA which was recently decertified because of a “lack of financial transparency”.
And I did not read that the two in question were transgender but that it was indeed an issue of questions about XY/XX.
If you look at these two people it is frankly not difficult to think that they have masculine facial features and thus might be males.
The Taiwanese athlete is scheduled to box tomorrow so we can expect the issue to remain active.

Wow that’s a big ole word salad.
Or maybe it’s just the usual 💩 sandwich.
