Get a Clue about BF..or go root for ISU, Bama, or Coe

If you know anything about fball u will understand that we took a 1st yr QB and Frosh Off tackles on the road to play the best team in the BIG & a rivalry road game.

If you're suprised about the outcome and think some Madden gameplan you found online would have done better...well, u should just no longer root for Iowa, go be a Bama, ISU, or Coe fan plz.

BF didn't drop balls all day, miss wide open Fant 87 on a seam route in 1st half, block terrible in 1st half, etc etc. I saw the same plays that worked in situations last week fail only due to player error.
There is only one Legend on here and its not you.
I saw Fant open on a key play crossing route get picked due to a frosh error. I saw a SR WR PR blow 30 yards on poor PR decisions in the first half, I saw Fant miss a catchable fade route that could have also had some more air under it for another 7 if so...on and on and on.

But Im sure you Madden experts think a different play call or gameplan also results in balls being caught, players blocking better ,and a young QB seeing the open 7pts in the seam....
Step back from the ledge, if we get behind this team and they win next week, and in Lincoln, it will have been a pretty good year considering the above, and next yr is much more promising in my mind with whats coming back.

Otherwise, just jump ship and go root for what u thinknis hot, buts not, then you wont need as much time in your safe spaces.

I really thought today was the first time all year where Nate Stanley looked like a sophomore qb pretty much all game long, the badgers really did a nice job of speeding up the clock in his head, early success getting to him and blown assignments by mostly the guards really made him uncomfortable. They really tried to take away the short easy throws and pretty much dared him to beat them deep, trouble was he didn’t trust having the time and when he did he was looking for the short throws.
With everything that went wrong Nate is going to see some good opportunities that he missed when he watches the film on this game. Not blaming him for the debacle on offense, plenty of blame to go around, like I said just the first game I thought he really looked uncomfortable all game long.

And that accounts for or excuses a total of 66 f'ing yards?

Some of you blow hards jst need to grow up and get over it. Take a step back and look at all the storied programs that have gone to shit due to their pathetic blow hard fans and admins who think unreasonably and have been stuck on repeat of hiring and firing themselves to unsuccessfulness.

Do you really truly think the Iowa Football program is one where someone is going to come in and do better than KF, a top ten team about every 4 yrs, a couple top 5s in that, several top 25s, a couple BCS apoearences, a BIG champ game appearance within a few yrs of its begining.....all this with the huge recruiting obstacles like population, weather, recruiting demographics, etcetc?.. yall cant really be that ignorant can u?

Y i know, but on Madden you have won a NC and more games.

Well, i want a NC also, but i also know how close KF has come to having a couple teams that had a shot. I also see how many programs with alot more to offer, struggle way worse than Iowa. I also know with KF, the stars align every four or so, and we have a shot at that bucketlist of mine.

I not only see the successes at Iowa, but the incredible success stories of those at the next level, who have returned to give credit to Iowa&KF for their success, that doesn't happen unless youre learning & developing by 1 of the best at the college level, especially when you are most likely a 3 star product out of HS.

OH YEAH, the stars...y im sure you know that coach that would come in and get all those 4 and 5 stars to come to Iowa...haha,lol, ..whats the saying, fool me once.....anyway.

I mean go 90 miles or so west...whats stopping that program from being somewhat close to what Iowa is?? Same obstacles etc but completely on a different level when it comes to a fball program. Tried the fancy names, and of course left at first chance. Oh y, but look at what campbell has done..lol, u do realize we beat them, and will most likely still end up w as good or a better record during one of their best yrs ever??..and like others will jump ship to a better program sooner than later...not wasting another word on those nobodys.

Go further west to a program w NCs, who now cant find a coach that can even compete at the top of the BIG. GO to the city i live, one of the biggest best places to live in the country, whos school had a NC in the 90s but now cant go .500 w a coupke exceptions over 2 decades.

Ill end w this, what KF has done for these kids, this university, and the fans, is nothing but overaceived. Thats not consistently the norm anywhere. Maybe take a step back and appreciate what he has done and built at Iowa. Get behind him, his philosophy of out perfecting, executing, and playing w more effort to overcome the obstacles we face at Iowa listed above...and, the right way.

It may not be long b4 u get your wish, and u may not like what u get in the end. I fear it would be alot easier for this program to spiral down than upward from where it is.

At the end of the day, hes been noticed by many experts, including his own colleagues as one of the best, so im not sure how u think bringing someone else in will mean better when all the arrows and tells point the other direction.

Do i agree w everythimg every week, no, hell, ive even been booted from here for remarks made about him many many yrs ago...but ive come to realize, what we have at Iowa w this staff and its longevity, is the 1 thing that makes us different, and what i would say has a significant impact on why we r so much more successful than similar programs, as well as many others w fewer inherent obstacles.

Im ok with what hes doing and willing to wait until he chooses that his time at Iowa is done, b4 seeing whats next....but if u have enough $$, id be more than willing to put mine on the line as to whether his replacement will do better or not...will u?

Take care all, hug your kids (teddy bears for some of u), your wives, sig others, thats what should be this important in your lives....i hope for us all that we can 1 day see our Hawks in a NC game, and i would want to see it w no other coach more than the Captain, KF himself.

Now, im off to explain to GA fans that they dont need to fire their coach bc of today...is Saban next?

Plz tell me how many we had last week at home against #6ish OSU?? Your blowhard call for a firing duenton1 game tells alot about u.

Again, common sense would tell u the OFF would struggle today, maybe not this much but struggle. Its was a snowball of bad, i agree, but one with eyes and ears would understand why.

65 yards.

Zero points from the offense.

Players dogging it on offense.

If I thought the team (the offense) was giving it their all then that's the way the ball bounces.

That's not what I saw today.

That actually makes it worse. IMO.
We are now below KF’s 1999 team as far as yards per game avg.

This is college football. Every team graduates players they have to replace. Every team starts FR and first year starters. Every team has injuries. Your excuses are wasted here.
Actually, what I don't understand is why Iowa loses a couple of seniors on the o-line and their replacements are a redshirt freshman and true freshman, respectively. Why aren't there sophomores and juniors with some game experience in the offing?

Brian Ferentz pulled a Josh McDaniels today. Got too cute and confused himself with a game plan that was ill advised and unnecessary. I watched on tape delay, missed the first 13 minutes, but I struggled to understand what our objective was on offense? As good as BF was last week, it was equally as bad today. The players were not put in a position to succeed today, simple as that.

That’s another failure altogether. Probably deserves its own thread. I think KF/BF went young on purpose so this team will look good in 2019. KF can retire and BF gets the keys to the program.

We all understand that Iowa will never be a consistent National Championship contender but can we a least agree that we should/could be on par with programs like Wisconsin? That doesn't seem to be an unrealistic expectation to me.

You need 2 things to be on par wi th Wisconsin. An AD that won’t tolerate losing and a head coach that has some pride.

the fans don't pay for shit, the TV money pays for everything
Where does merchandising money go? What about the millions brought in by admissions? Seat donations? Boosters give a bunch, and they're the fan base, where does that go? You may not pay shit, but many do. Majority of renovations to any athletic building on the Iowa campus is paid for by fans, not TV money.

Sooo...u didnt see 87Fant wide open 15 yards by everyone in 1st half where Stanley didnt see him?...or the missed opportunity to him later in game where if he had put more air under it it was there for 7...or the drops by 6 & 84 for first downs..the int by 4 where 87 was on a crucial rossing route that led to a 14 pt swing??.. .there were plenty of game changing play calls that were spot on and players competely failed them.

Yeah......all tell tale signs of a garbage offense and garbage offensive coaches. Thanks for making our point.

my lord. this right here is spot on.

If Wisconsin is able to compete year in and year out like they have been (meaning one of the top most consistent teams in the country) then there is absolutely no reason why Iowa cannot do the same. Its utter horseshit to sit there and think that a top 10 season every few years and knocking off someone we shouldn't every year is the best Iowa can achieve.

It isn't even that Iowa isn't on par with Wisconsin anymore. The fact of the matter is we are significantly behind them and there is absolutely no reason that should be the case. I love Kirk and Co as much as the next guy but its time to pull the black and gold glasses down away and realize that one good season every 3-4 years and a few upsets sprinkled in are not the best that Iowa is capable of. Is consistency nice? sure to an extent. it's not nice when that consistency means a shot at 10+ wins every 3 years and settlings for 7 win seasons the rest.

There is absolutely no one in the big ten west outside of Wisconsin (again a team we should be on par with, year in and year out) that should stop us from being there in the big ten champ game every year. Yet here we are, Wiscy making it to 3/4 champ games out of the west (and 2/3 games out of the leaders) 5 championship appearances in the last 7 years. Meanwhile, Iowa has been once in the 7 years.

and before those of you come in with the "what better coach could we get" "Stability is good" "ect"... Realize that during the time that Wisconsin has made 5 Big ten championships in 7 years, they've had 3 different head coaches/coaching staffs. They finished with 10 or more wins 5 out of those 7 years. 9-4 and 8-6 in the two others. Iowa? one season with 10 or more wins (and we all know how that season worked out once we played someone with a pulse), the rest? 8-5 the best one after that. don't forget to toss the 4-8 year in there as well.

Wisconsin is 70-22 over the last 7 seasons.
Kirk is 51-36 the last 7 seasons. 39-34 when you remove the 12-2 cake walk schedule year. The absolute definition of a mediocre team that has a good season/game every once in a while.

I'm failing really hard to understand why Iowa benefits from the same coach year in and year out anymore. I suppose if the ultimate goal for the Hawks is to be the most average boring team in the country, well then I guess Kirks the right guy.

Maybe I am wrong though IDK. Maybe an upper midwest school like Wisconsin can be a college football powerhouse (at least in a big ten west, big ten champ game sense) and Iowa can't for no reason other than they can't be one.

... and that got away from me. suppose I was in need of a good ol rant
