Gilman

Sad news for Gilman is he left Iowa to get away from Spencer but it doesn't look like Spencer will be going to the OTT so Gilman moved all that way for nothing. He could have been the rep for the HWC at 57 Kg this year after all. He had a lot of fans when he was in IC but now I would guess he is one of the most hated wrestlers around because there is no reason for NLWC fans to like him. He isn't really doing anything for them other than making them look stupid which is what he did to the Hawks while he was here.

Did something change? At NCAAs, Spencer said he'd be wrestling at OTT.

I remember getting ripped SL's freshman year when I said that Gilman couldn't beat him. I was thrown under the bus by quite a few.

I will say it again. If SL was healthy, TG couldn't beat him once if they wrestled 100 times. It's not even close.

This is borderline Michael Jordan vs. John Starks.

I mean, there was that one time, and it was much more over Grant than MJ but since it brings me back to being a 10-year-old, John-Starks-hating-bulls fan, I'll post the video...

I loved those Knicks teams man. I wish they would have gotten one title.

My brother and I used to secretly stay up at night and put on WFAN 660am in NY to listen to the games on the radio in the dark.

I have heard the same from the room, something like "on TG's best days he could hang with Spencer for a little while"

TG has pretty much spent his entire wrestling career being second best.

An accomplished wrestler, just never quite elite.

ZACH SANDERS!!

The very same Zach Sanders that Spencer made quick work of before the season. But at that point in time Spencer did have one ACL, so that’s not a fair fight for Zach!!

If there was a choice between Spencer and Gilman, it must have been an easy one.

Gilman got dumped and he’s bitter about it. Keep talking Thomas.

So ... with Spencer out of the OTT am I required to cheer for Gilman since he wrestled for Iowa?

if not gilman who, don't see any hardware out of any of them, maybe fix. i gotta go with g grew in iowa, 3 time AA at u of i

No way I’m pulling for Gilman now, he burnt his bridge and we owe him nothing. I want to see Suriano or Vito win it they are our best chance at a medal. I still think Lee was our only true chance at Olympic Gold.
The funny thing is the PSU fan base could give a crap about him, they will "cheer" him on as so much that if he does well it is an opportunity to pump up their club and throw some crap our way but they don't especially like the guy.

Most of their fan base also believe all the best wrestlers the US has ever had are from the past 10 years! Heck they don’t even know their own history, Still to this day their best wrestler was pre Carl.
Gilman has without a doubt become less off a threat since his bold move, they have used him and soon he will be kicked to the curb. He will regret his decision as time grows older.

I am also glad I am no longer obligated to cheer for Gilman. I never cared for his antics. Running into Minnesota's huddle and all the over the top talk. I think he totally bought into it and it seemed like it was more of a distraction for him than anything. At Minnesota he was so worried about trying to do something before the match that he wasn't ready to wrestle when his match started, lucky for him he was able to bail himself out. There is a difference between Metcalf way and the Ramos stare or Gilman's attempts at intimidation. Metcalf is intimidating and it's just who he is and matched his wrestling style, the other two seemed to be an act. It helped that they were good wrestlers, but I am not sure they put fear into people like Metcalf did.

Oh the penn state fans love him. Don’t think for a second they don’t. Just go over and see for yourself. You’d think he won multiple college titles for them.

I always found his antics to be very cringeworthy especially when he failed on the big stage!!

Gonna be rooting for Colon. If the cut doesn’t drain him he will hopefully take out the rest.
Colon is easy to root for. You know it's not going to be a boring match when he steps out there. His performance at Budapest in '18 was amazing.

Scores a lot and gives up a lot. His matches with Garrett were always interesting.
