On the other hand, the game is at Carver West.
Really?............Iowa is 2-4 in Lincoln under McCaffery.
Iowa should win this year handily behind a heavy dose of Garza. But it's funny to hear "Carver West".

Yes it's been far from Carver West for Iowa but it has a nice ring to it for Hawkeye fans.Really?............Iowa is 2-4 in Lincoln under McCaffery.

First time I saw Garza against PSU.....wow he is a beast! Every team in the B1G could use him. Playing like an All-American.Garza and Weiskamp need to come out possessed. Need something out of Evelyn too.
The guy is a self made animal. Just so darn smart and fundamentally superior which helps overcome his lack of explosiveness. If he can get his FT % above 70% would be almost unstoppable, liability at the FT line.First time I saw Garza against PSU.....wow he is a beast! Every team in the B1G could use him. my god you guys are idiots when it comes to basic knowledge about college hoops.
do you think a lot of quality grad transfers are lining up to play BACKUP minutes???
These guys can't even remember Fran going after Hauser. Honestly, I think Ihawk and Hawklogic are the same person liking and replying to their own posts. They both only bash Fran after losses, with the same repeated phrases, and never come around when we are winning. It's so moronic, it's hard to believe the two people exist this equal.
Sit him out he needs to get healthy and cross your fingers they can somehow escape with a W.
You grossly overestimate your own knowledge. So you are telling me that losing Moss, Baer and knowing Jbo's status is highly questionable equals limited PT? I would say that is the exact scenario a graduate transfer looks for. Even a non-starter gets plenty of PT in Fran's system without injuries, foul trouble, etc. Carry on with your delusional thoughts that you know more than everyone else on the board.
On the other hand, the game is at Carver West.
you are an idiot.
Typical response when you get schooled with the facts. Your name calling speaks volumes about your intellect. Clearly didn't need another shooter tonight eh? You are a real message board bad ass LOL!
what? You completely ignore my posts and continue to post things that make zero logical sense.
Your posts are worth of ignoring I will grant you that. My posts are actually quite logical to someone that understands basketball. I said earlier Fran needed to get more scoring to replace the guys who left instead of a complete non-factor offensively in Evelyn. Remind me, how many points did Evelyn have tonight?
we have FIVE guys hurt. Jordan was the only one known ahead of time, so what type of player did you want to recruit that wants to be the 11th man???
One who has some semblance of offense. You realize that Evelyn makes Maishe look like LeBron right? 11th man is not close to accurate. There was a need at guard with Bohannon likely being out. That is not being the 11th guy. Patrick and Nunge are not guards.
you live in fantasy land. I’m actually a little surprised you can care for yourself, but you somehow manage to bring negative comments to every thread. I’m impressed by modern technology.
I'm betting Cook wishes he had stayed. With I think 27 G League teams and more high ranking players being drafted each year it is very difficult to find an NBA roster with so many G league players to compete against. So your seriously blaming Cook leaving on Fran? As far as the others, Davis should not have been run, and Alford didn't want to be at Iowa anyway, so no loss there....
you nailed it with this thread.Word is both C.J and Connor may not be available to play tomorrow night...ugh.
C.J. with a still unknown foot injury and Connor battling flu symptoms. Garza, Wieskamp, Toussaint, Evelyn, Kriener, Pemsl, and Till....the only scholarship players available.
Might even see Nicolas Hobbs and Aidan Vanderloo before the end of the game. Fun Times!!!
Have to agree here. You don’t go after grad transfers to be the 11th man. You go after players that can help you, whether that’s starting or quality depth off bench. I don’t think Fran realizes this. One who has some semblance of offense. You realize that Evelyn makes Maishe look like LeBron right? 11th man is not close to accurate. There was a need at guard with Bohannon likely being out. That is not being the 11th guy. Patrick and Nunge are not guards.
No man, your posts are not logical. You complained about Fran thinking Evelyn was the answer, when countered with we tried for better GTs, you moved the goal posts that we didn't get them. Obviously Fran tried to get better GTs, they didn't work out. Either way, we were gonna have Connor, Pat, JT, CJF, Nunge, Garza, Kriener, Joe and Jobo for 1/3 of the season even if Fran knew he was for sure gonna be out. Any GT was gonna be guy #9, ahead of Pemsl. We've had terrible luck with injuries this year, and I honestly think this team is 12-3 and top 20 with all our guys. It's not the time for your Franblame.Your posts are worth of ignoring I will grant you that. My posts are actually quite logical to someone that understands basketball. Please don't bring up Dailey ever again, please. I think our team if they stayed healthy, was better than last years team. Fran knew what he was doing, CJF is better than Moss. Moss was more concerned with "winning" at Kansas than playing Iowa into a "winner". What a loser mentality, and glad he's gone. The improvements of our returning players, Connor/Garza/Joe along with our new guys Pat/JT, were more than going to offset those losses. Injuries suck, that part isn't Fran's fault.Logic is looking at what you are losing (Cook, Baer, Moss, likely Jbo and yes even Dailey) relative to who you have coming in. The door was wide open to bring a GT in with some ability to score. Fran knew Jbo was going to be highly questionable and replacing what Jbo brings would be impossible, but to bring a guy in with 0 offense is far from logical.
Not expecting some rockstar GT talent but how does a guy with no offense fit Fran's system of playing fast and shooting 3's? This isn't overreacting to a couple bad shooting games. Evelyn does not even look to shoot and defenses know it which hoses JW and Garza.
Looking at the stats for Dailey at Iowa and Evelyn they are pretty much the same player. One who has some semblance of offense. You realize that Evelyn makes Maishe look like LeBron right? 11th man is not close to accurate. There was a need at guard with Bohannon likely being out. That is not being the 11th guy.
