Yes it's been far from Carver West for Iowa but it has a nice ring to it for Hawkeye fans.
First time I saw Garza against PSU.....wow he is a beast! Every team in the B1G could use him. Playing like an All-American.
The guy is a self made animal. Just so darn smart and fundamentally superior which helps overcome his lack of explosiveness. If he can get his FT % above 70% would be almost unstoppable, liability at the FT line.
You grossly overestimate your own knowledge. So you are telling me that losing Moss, Baer and knowing Jbo's status is highly questionable equals limited PT? I would say that is the exact scenario a graduate transfer looks for. Even a non-starter gets plenty of PT in Fran's system without injuries, foul trouble, etc. Carry on with your delusional thoughts that you know more than everyone else on the board.
Sorry to disappoint, but we are not the same person. Go find a post where I bashed Fran after a loss. I was critical after the DePaul game but so was 3/4 of the board. Offering kids is not what matters. It's landing them. Hauser was not coming to Iowa based on having multiple better offers so let's not start handing out participation trophies.
My point was that of all the graduate transfers Fran could have pursued, he went after a guy with little / no offense. When you look at the guys who left + Jbo being questionable, you aren't adding any firepower with Evelyn.

Have to agree here. You don’t go after grad transfers to be the 11th man. You go after players that can help you, whether that’s starting or quality depth off bench. I don’t think Fran realizes this.
No man, your posts are not logical. You complained about Fran thinking Evelyn was the answer, when countered with we tried for better GTs, you moved the goal posts that we didn't get them. Obviously Fran tried to get better GTs, they didn't work out. Either way, we were gonna have Connor, Pat, JT, CJF, Nunge, Garza, Kriener, Joe and Jobo for 1/3 of the season even if Fran knew he was for sure gonna be out. Any GT was gonna be guy #9, ahead of Pemsl. We've had terrible luck with injuries this year, and I honestly think this team is 12-3 and top 20 with all our guys. It's not the time for your Franblame.
Logic is looking at what you are losing (Cook, Baer, Moss, likely Jbo and yes even Dailey) relative to who you have coming in. The door was wide open to bring a GT in with some ability to score. Fran knew Jbo was going to be highly questionable and replacing what Jbo brings would be impossible, but to bring a guy in with 0 offense is far from logical.
Not expecting some rockstar GT talent but how does a guy with no offense fit Fran's system of playing fast and shooting 3's? This isn't overreacting to a couple bad shooting games. Evelyn does not even look to shoot and defenses know it which hoses JW and Garza.
Please don't bring up Dailey ever again, please. I think our team if they stayed healthy, was better than last years team. Fran knew what he was doing, CJF is better than Moss. Moss was more concerned with "winning" at Kansas than playing Iowa into a "winner". What a loser mentality, and glad he's gone. The improvements of our returning players, Connor/Garza/Joe along with our new guys Pat/JT, were more than going to offset those losses. Injuries suck, that part isn't Fran's fault.
Looking at the stats for Dailey at Iowa and Evelyn they are pretty much the same player.
