Iowa hasn't had a first team all conference PG since 1997. 20 years ago. Andre Woolridge. That is just SAD! Iowa State since 1997 has had (after this year) five. Tinsley ('00, '01), Stinson ('05), Kane ('14), Morris ('17). Shove that horse pill on down. 20 year drought maybe Lil J-Bo wI'll break that streak (haha)

Well, their 1999-2000 team had 2 first round picks on it, as did their 2007-2008 team.
Maybe you can help out a fellow clown fan and dig up stats that show how much better of a freshman season Monte had over Jordan.

It is amazing that when I see ESPN talking about who won games today I have yet to see a single game where it was FG% or turnovers and not total points that determined the winner and loser.

This freshman year comparison thing only makes sense if you assume JBo will be an all-conference player 3 times, as Monte has been every year since '15.
No the comparison is valid regardless. Jordan could match or exceed what Monte has done and that doesn't mean he will or will not be all conference.

When you are surrounded by scorers like Georges Niang, Matt Thomas, Naz Long etc...efficiency means everything. As a PG your job is to get then as many shots as possible. There's a reason why Monte Morris is going to be an All American and 1st team Big 12. More please.

Is this person seriously trying to make this argument? A player scores 20 points but has 10 turnovers and the player they guard gets 25 points, and they are better than another player that scores 15 with zero turnovers and the player they guard gets 15. He is a bit off his rocker.
So efficiency is what wins games not total points? Does anyone else on the planet know this? You really should tell somebody this.
So go and track each and every person both Jordan and Monte guarded for each and every game of their freshmen season and show us who did better.

Stats are fine but you already indicated that they don't matter, so which way do you want to go? Unfortunately for you, PGs aren't measured by scoring. They are measured by advanced statistics that include asst to turnover ratio, +/- production, team productivity while on the floor. We can include scoring, fg%, etc. If you like. But you need to know that a Big statistical measure for coaches and NBA scouts is asst/turnover, and Morris is the best in NCAA history of this stat.
I don't understand why we vote on all american and all conference teams. Just roll with the five highest scorers and you're done! What have they been doing all these years taking Steals and rebounding and block shots and assist/TO ratio into account!
