Gotta feel bad for Iowa State today & for their future

Solomon Young has not played much because he broke his hand early in the year and had to sit out some. So the biggest problem was him not understanding the defense and learning his freshman roll. He has played more and more each game and worked himself into a valuable asset and frankly one that Iowa State has seriously been missing all year.

The question I would propose to Iowa fans is this. This is not a troll. Iowa get's worse off every year and Iowa State appears to get better as the year goes on. Is it just Iowa States offense and defense are more complex so it takes the new guys longer to gel with the rest. Is Iowa beating people in the early season because of hustle and once talent starts to take over in the later half of the year, Iowa is in trouble? Let's be honest. Iowa, besides Cook. Is not playing with the talent some of these teams are playing with. Jok is good. However, he plays no defense and that is a huge weekness. Just curious.

Pretty fitting quote for the Hawkeye fan who started this thread and all other Hawkeye fans who chimed in. I love the fact this thread was started just minutes before the most impressive win on the entire year by any team in the country.

Fitting for every clown fan response as well.

If isu is so much better then why do they have a whopping 2 more wins?

Relishing has a blinding hatred for ISU which makes him unable to see things clearly either that or he is ignorant.

I don't like trolls, I think it's lame. Whether it's ISU, Nebraska, PSU fans in the wrestling forum, or the Michigan moron frequenting our football board lately. I don't just make fun of ISU trolls, like you. I just don't get it. I have no desire to go seek respect on another teams message board. 585 is a clear troll, and you are agreeing with him like you guys are buddies. It's bizarre you feel like you have an anonymous friend. Almost as bizarre as going to an opponents message board seeking respect from people you will never meet. Your life must be awesome.

1) I don't even know who you are talking about
2) You are moving the goalposts.
3) This thread was started as a troll job
4) You are wrong that Iowa is better than ISU this year. There is no rational person that would think that. So you must be trolling as well

isu fans have an inferiority complex and it shows in how they post here and on cryclown fanatic. It is just what is at the core of the isu culture. They are best viewed how they are, something to laugh at and not to be taken seriously.

I'll give an honest answer as far as this year is concerned. Iowa started out pretty bad this year, 4-5, and I really don't think we are playing bad right now. We just took a good Minnesota team to double OT, so I'm not sure why you think we are playing worse than at the beginning of the year. Iowa had two absolute killer double OT losses on the road. Killer! If we win those two games, this team would have RPI of 77 and would have shot to control their NCAA destiny right now. Furthermore, that Maryland game was right there as well. We blew the end of that as well, and Melo hit those two clutch 3's, so here's where we sit. On top of all that, Jok's injury really hampered us when he tried to play through it. I think we would have been better off without him against Illinois.

78-64, Iowa was better. There is no rational person that would think that doesn't matter.

This thread reminds me of a famous quote from Abe Lincoln. "It is better to be silent and thought of as a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

Good job clown fans you have certainly removed all doubt as to how pathetic it is to be an isu fan who is always obsessed with big bro Iowa.

Herky, you should have listened to old Abe. You are at 55+ posts and counting on this one thread alone....

I love it, clown fan goes to the "I know you are but what am I" tactic from elementary school.

More please.

Obviously Iowa beat ISU in December, so there's that.

As for the season resume, really when comparing the two in a lot of ways they don't look that much different. Mind you, I am getting my info from ESPN and their RPI.

Strength of Schedule - Iowa 53, ISU 55
Records vs Top 150 RPI - Iowa 8-11, ISU 6-8
Records vs Sub 150 RPI - Iowa 6-1, ISU 10-1
Last 12 games - Iowa 6-6, ISU 7-5

Where they are different though are
Road W/L - Iowa 1-9, ISU 4-5
Double Digit Losses - Iowa 7, ISU 2
RPI - Iowa 103, ISU 46

Iowa has a losing conference record in a watered down BIG. Iowa State is 8-5 in the consensus #1 conference. Iowa State's best win is AT Kansas. Iowas best win is at home vs. Purdue. Iowa lost at home to UNO. That is the difference in a nut shell right there.

Maaaannnn.....shake that one off Illinois is a great team this year. Your freshman are still unreal! Future is so bright!

Since the start of this thread:

Iowa State is 4-1 with wins at Kansas, vs. Oklahoma, at K-State, and over TCU.
Iowa is 1-3 with a win at home over Nebrasska, spelling intended.

Fun times :)

Yet 78-64 still hasn't changed. Too bad your seniors simply weren't good enough to beat our freshmen.

The most ironic thing here to me is that this thread speaks to the future, yet the only thing you can talk about is an event from the past. By all means, continue to enjoy that win. It's not often they cocur.

Iowa State continues to surge in February, while Iowa continues to regress in February...like both teams do every single year.

Only Hawk fans can be on pace for a losing season (while the Big Ten is as down as it has been in years) and think theye got some incredible incredible future. The year Fred Hoiberg took over he was left with like 3 scholarship players and still manged to go .500 lol

Still can't find those stats that show how much better Morris was in his freshman year as compared to Jordan.

Too bad clown fans.

Show me the legions of clown fans that thought you would have 9 losses at this point.

Mic drop you lose.

How is this a cyclone state unless you are talking men's and women's cross country?

Still wonder why isu is laughed at?

Dead serious question for Hawk fans to ponder. When is the last time Iowa had a better PG than Iowa State? Since 2000...Tinsley, Blalock/Stinson, Garrett, Kane, Morris and now soon to be five star Lindell Wigginton. Haha man that is a large pill to swallow.

Haha Fred is gone you got nothing. You lost to a horrible Iowa team.

Donovan Jackson is a very good guard for Iowa State as well. I thought maybe he would be their starting point guard next year. He is very fast and shoots over 40% from three but doesn't get many minutes this year because of the big minutes played by MM & Naz Long.

So you still can't find any stats that show how much better Morris was in his freshman season than Jordan and now you want us to answer a question?

Did you hear that whooshing noise that went over your head?

Oh and here is a question for you since you want to bring up history. When was the last time the clowns had 3 1st round NBA draft picks in one year?

Mic drop clown fan loses yet again.

Ha when is the last time Iowa had 3 first rounders? I seriously don't know. And stop comparing Jordan Bohannon to Monte Morris that is just embarassing.

It's not really fair to just pull the full season stats and say one player is better or comparable to the other. One came onto a team with no point guard and by all means it would have take. A great effort to not start day one and a team with aspirations of maybe making the NIT. The other played spareing minutes during the non con on a top 10 team behind a senior all American which make his season stats a little mid leading. By the time big 12 play started he was too good to not be playing and was slid into the starting line up sharing duties at the 1/2 with Kane and by the end of the year was playing 35+ minutes on a team that won a conference championship and went to the sweet 16. No matter how bad a team is someone has to score and someone has to pass the ball. Simply by default a full time starting point guard will put up numbers similar to Bohannon. Putting up solid numbers on a top ten team is a completely different story.

It was great seeing Bohannon duke it out with the young point guard from Illinois today. Getting your layup pinned on the backboard down the stratch takes great talent. He can make occasional threes whoopty do. So can every other white boy that plays college hoops.

BJ Armstrong
Kevin Gamble
Roy Marble

You are right we shouldn't compare Jordan to Monte because Jordan will finish with better stats. We should compare Jordan to someone who had a much better freshman season than Monte. I am guessing you will continue to ignore that though.

Is there anything more embarrassing than a clown fan clown fan that refuses reality?

More please.

Monte and Jordan both played around 28 mins per game. Maybe isu lied about the stats. They lie about the bio of their football coach so who really knows.

So of course that also must be ignored because anything that blows a clown fan argument out of the water will never count.

More please.
