Martin got a stall in the 1st period for backing off the mat. Did the same thing in overtime and got dinged again for the loss.
Hate to see Patrick win like that. He failed to Produce even one effective shot. Could have scored on a scramble early, but backed out. About 20 shots to one of his. I thought his inactivity would cost him, but in a twisted turn of events, the ref chose to not make him earn it!
How do you show up for your first matches at a tournament like this and NOT get after it and attack? I can't understand that and never will.

Burak stalking, controlling the ties with his 2 on 1's. Gets one to a HC for the takedown, has the crosswrist, kids on his belly, looking for a wing, loses the wing. WI builds, gets to his feet and is out. 2-1
Burak with 2 more half attempts at the Russian to the HC but nothing, goes right back to a HC from the outside and gets it for the takedown. End of 1, up 4-1

Burak with a big single to a double for the TD, lets the kid up....6-3. Controlling with the russian, now scoops the inside leg up with his and gets the single for the TD. Elects to let him up again, 9-4.....40 seconds left. Another shot and score, kid tried to pancake up but missed. Burak up 11-4 after 2

Another single attempt but nothing. WI looks to be going for some big moves , halfhearted attempts really. 30 to go, Burak single/HC , runs the pipe, kid tries to "high flyer" us and Burak catches him on his back..almost gets pin....wins 22-5...good finish for some more bonus.

Knee in brace, chasing the kid around, UM gets warned for stalling. Sounds like Mr. Ficker is in the building. Shit we get hit for stalling for going oob and we had a bodylock locked up. Stalling UM again, we get a point. 1-0 us. It's almost like sumo out here with this match. Stoll with bodylock, bearhug has him on back....damn, tried to adjust and the kid got off his back. Sam up 7-0, looking to turn , bringing the hammerlock out, loses it and the kid escapes. 7-1 they are on their feet with 25 to go. Period ends.
(side note, PSU's Nevills just got beat)

Maryland chooses top. Stoll tripod stand up, fighting hands, UM returns him to the mat, Sam up again and this time out. 8-1 with the escape. Sam controlling the ties, oob and Sam gets another point for stalling, Kid shoots on Sam on restart, Sam defends and it's a SM...back on their feet. Overunder, Sam has the bodylock, shrugs it over, OOB. Period ends 9-1

UM HC, go behind by Stoll, escape UM, shoots us off but no call. 11-2. 40 seconds left.
Shot by UM, Sam another go behind for the TD. 13-2. Same tilts him over for 2 NF, reversal by UM. final 15-4 Stoll.

Snap, front headlock, can't find the corner though, nothing. Mich shoots, gilman defends, gets the go behind for 2. Spiral ride, big return, still riding...OOB Just over a minute left. Hard spiral, another return attempt...OOB....43 left.

JDJ doing what he does, sucking the arm down, dumps us for the TD. 0-2
Has a leg in and is riding us pretty tough, we're on the belly, now we're in a sitout position, can't clear the hands,Clark with a reversal...working on top and the ref stopped it for what reason I have no idea...restart with about 20. DJD doing nothing...end of 1.....2-2....DJD has a minute 6 riding time.

Clark goes down quick escape. DJ doing what he does, couple wild scrambles, Gets a stalling warning. Clark hits a peterson for a TD, coaches challenging...OSU wants no control, Brands wants backpoints. They called a Stalemate after DJD rolled through the peterson...not sure how this is going to turn out.
