Hockey/NHL guys: Four Nations Face-Off

Great. So Trump and the people rooting for Canada are traitors. Or at least just shitty people would allow politics to rule their lives.

No, people rooting for Canada are not traitors. People trying to overthrow our election results are traitors. I'd like to think most people can see the difference.

And there is a difference between standing up for your country, and standing up for it even when it means ignoring basic human decency. I will always choose basic human decency over my country's sport teams; because I am a human being before anything else.

USA hockey ignores basic human decency?

Gee I wonder who started this thread about this hockey tournament way back when, and which side of low IQ dipshits brought politics into this by bashing one of our best allies and calling them the 51st state and other stupidity? Hmmmmm….
What's it say about you that these "low IQ" posters were able to get you to actively root against team USA and have you go off the deep end (again)?

The last time any Canadian team won the Stanley Cup, I was 23 years old and still single. I’m now a 55-year-old grandfather.
That was the first full season I watched. I came half way into the 1992 on account of my dad being an excited Blackhawks fan. I wasn’t even a teen yet, and now I have grown children graduated from college.

What the hell is your point with this? Plenty of Canadians have been on Stanley Cup winning teams in the last 32 years. Plenty of Americans have been on loser Canadian NHL teams

I was a Blackhawks fan at that time too. It took years to erase the memory of Jagr’s backhand goal in Game 1.

I thought the point was fairly self explanatory. Sure, lots of Canadian players have hoisted the Cup. But no Canadian franchises have done it for 32 years. The NHL does everything it can to make teams as equal as possible, and yet the Canadian franchises just can’t seem to win the Cup.

I remember that like yesterday, as I'm a big Canadiens fan. Roy carried that team, but they definitely caught fire towards the end of that season. The Kings may have been the weakest opponent they faced in the playoffs. Buffalo beating Boston in the 1st Round really turned things upside down in that division. Pittsburgh and Boston losing really paved the way, as they were the two best teams in the NHL record-wise and both were in the Prince of Wales Conference with the Habs at the time.

Hopefully the NBA took notice. Need All Star game to be USA vs World.

Of course the American NBA players would probably want load management and sit out.
