do any of you realize Tim Lester is the one that decides who the quarterback will be ?
That’s cute.

They are fans of Ferentz not the Hawkeyes!I would hope that at least the posters here understand this concept! Although. Some of the posters defending whatever KF does apparently just don’t.
With a concussion and over the years grueling recovery from surgeries, Cade is probably content sitting on the bench. He's played most of the year. Ferenz has often cared more of his friendship with a quarterback than other players on his teamsThere needs to be a real protest of some sort for the Nebraska game. Everyone and I mean everyone can see the difference Sullivan makes except for one stubborn man.
Kirk is just trying to get the most out his NIL investment. He will not concede🤣There wouldn’t be another school in the country where Cade would see the field again this season assuming no injuries.
I wouldn't even call it defending KF. I just think people attribute the run game to KJ yet don't understand the defense can stack the box and crash in when you have a QB that's a statue. This team ran for 330 yards against Wisconsin. That's incredible. I think with Cade they may have had half that.
you haven't watch Kirk and his QB selections his entire career have you.Dumb post. The only way Cade sees the field again is if Sullivan is knocked out.
Sullivan is the QB moving forward. There needs to be a real protest of some sort for the Nebraska game. Everyone and I mean everyone can see the difference Sullivan makes except for one stubborn man.
Never underestimate the stupidity of KFSullivan is the QB moving forward.
I agree that’s how it will likely play out.as I said earlier, KF will say all the right things to not hurt little Cade’s tender feelings , but Sully is your starter
And everyone is delusional. At this point Cade himself would tell Kirk he's lost his ****ing mind if he got the call.
as I said earlier, KF will say all the right things to not hurt little Cade’s tender feelings , but Sully is your starter
I don't think it's necessarily stupidity. Kirk's been seeing what everyone else has for many months. Cade hasn't got it, and Sully is a much better fit. I'm now 100% certain that Kirk felt a level of commitment to Cade that, regardless of how bad he was, and Cade was bad, that he would remain QB1 for as long as he was at Iowa. Now that everyone else knows what he and Lester have known for months, there is just no putting that toothpaste back in the tube.Never underestimate the stupidity of KF
Be careful, folks with absolutely nothing better to do than scour your posting and viewing history will be waiting with bated breath. 🙄If Cade starts again, I'm never watching Iowa football ever again
So much for giving your team the best chance to win. Also, so much for being committed to the other 80-100 guys in the program.I don't think it's necessarily stupidity. I think that's his fallback message when he has nothing concrete to fall back on as to why he wouldn't make the change. There is no chance that he really believed this given what's occurred over the last 2 games. Kirk's not an offensive guru, but he's also not a blind idiot. So much for giving your team the best chance to win. Also, so much for being committed to the other 80-100 guys in the program.
Petras turned out to be the best bet in his years. One might argue the cause the cause but the Hill results are undeniable. McCabe wasn't very good and Hill was terrible and Stanzi was hurt. So, you cannot really fault much but the Hill thing.I mean it's almost like we're scarred from the other 5x this has happened
Justified in the minds of pitiful depressed personalities that are either: naturally joyless and morose or have an obsessive and nihilistic hatred of the winningest coach in school history. Either way is pitiful. A sad way to approach something that is supposed to be pleasant. If your hatred of Ferentz is so controlling that you roll off a 42-10 win against a border rivalry, running the ball right up their gut for 329 and 4 rushing TDs feeling so angry you had to vent your anger-as your initial reaction perhaps Iowa is simply not your team. You seem like maybe a Domer or Crimson Tide kind of guy. The underdogs aren't going to ever fill your expectations. But we all know his tendencies. Sadly. Thread perfectly justified.
I will concede that KF has become too afraid of mistakes. The last 5 seasons have been very different that the previous 20. Now Iowa was playing low scoring defensive games with a roomful of QBs that scared him. Now we have shown the ability to score with a very different offense. We could have taken a shot with Sully immediately after the tOSU game. That's just my take and I am very aggressive and very flexible, well mentally flexible anyway. So much for giving your team the best chance to win. Also, so much for being committed to the other 80-100 guys in the program.
Or maybe the reality is that Sully was always clearly the best option, but that Kirk was going to play Cade regardless out of a sense of loyalty and commitment to him. The injury simply made that obvious to everyone outside the room.I will concede that KF has become too afraid of mistakes. The last 5 seasons have been very different that the previous 20. I planned to set a bag of poop on fire on his doorstep, then ring the doorbell, and watch him try to stomp it out.
Harry Chapin was a musical genius!!!Petras turned out to be the best bet in his years. One might argue the cause the cause but the Hill results are undeniable. McCabe wasn't very good and Hill was terrible and Stanzi was hurt. So, you cannot really fault much but the Hill thing.
The difference is very stark. Larger, very mobile QB without any turnovers and a career completion rate of 68.8%. Oh, and no turnovers this season.

Were you the guy that killed the dance music at parties and played Cat's in Cradle instead?
Didn't really put the girls in a very amorous train of thought. Chapin was great-just not at a party.Harry Chapin was a musical genius!!!
The same could have been said for msu.If Cade starts next week. We'll win. With this running attack, we'll be fine.

How about Cade's in the Pocket:Harry Chapin was a musical genius!!!
That's footballI'm real nervous he'll actually pull a shitbag move and start Cade since we are on the road and he doesn't have to worry about a home crowd booing him.
That's footballIt’s so sad and pathetic we even have to worry about this…what a stubborn sob.
That's footballKirk has experience and coaching nuance, he can't be wrong...? No, he was wrong.
A? I hope.Which statement is true from this morning?
A. Iowa football was playing 2 Pac this morning at practice.
B. Cade was taking snaps with the 1s.
There was no reason for him to comment about McNamara at all in answer to that question. It comes across as getting in a dig at the end.Please. someone explain to me WHY Kirk saying "were looking forward to getting Cade (a team captain and only other QB who has experience) back as well" makes him some kind of villian? So you would rather he say were fine if cade doesn't return at this point since we have our guy now? Ridiculous...
Sorry, but thats not accurate either. The sideline reporter asked Kirk if Sullys performance meant he was the starter going forward. Kirk said he thought Sully played well, (he said GREAT twice) and then he said "we'll be happy to have Cade back as well". The reporters question was in reference to BOTH players. I don't see why many are trying to make his statement into something. Well , I'll take that back, I do see why some people are trying to make it in to something. Just the way things go here. I mean why is that a big deal. Is it possible that he's happy to have Cade back for depth since we only have one other QB on the damn roster now? There was no reason for him to comment about McNamara at all in answer to that question. He's much more football savvy than the Internet posters.Never underestimate the stupidity of KF
You can see the future? Rewatch the Washington game. Cade did just fine, use Sully when needed to confuse their d.UCLA playing much better; Cade starts and the team reverts back to weak ass football and we lose this game even if KF finally pulls Cade in game. By then, Sully will be expected to rescue the game but the momentum will have already buried us.
