No problem. It definitely wasn’t you that was directed at.My bad if you weren't. Sorry.I don’t think I was responding to you, was I?
Brock HuArd is the color commentator who, with the help of the camera crew, technicians and broadcast director, were able to slow down and freezeframe the play with a big yellow circle over the tight end so you the viewer, could go on a message board and act like you saw the TE open all on your own.Who the F is brock Hurd?
I watched the replay & saw the TE wide open, chill out bra!
I would take purdy over our QB in a hot second
LolNot really. He was coming open just as Brock was winding up to throw it. And he was in the blind spot where the defensive lineman was in the backfield with him, so let's stop this nonsense about how the TE was wide open and should've been the read. So many freakin armchair QBs thinking this is Madden
threw 5 TDs no picks on the road against #9 team in the country. Stanley would never do that.
Iowa fans by and large are heavily biased morons. I hate our fanbase sometimes.
Am I wrong?
Mobile as crap, not afraid to run the ball, good arm. Explain how?
Am I wrong?
D is not our problem. If you can't see that you're blind.
Did you see Purdy piss all over himself against Okie State? He is terrified of contact. Short-arm chucks the ball and rotates his shoulders into the fetal position anytime anyone is coming. Stanley is limited as a QB but he he is exponentially tougher than Purdy. Yes, Purdy does carry the ball numerous times a game. Most of them end with a hook slide. He is a total pussy. Do not want.

The defense was a bigger contributing factor to the Wisconsin loss than was Stanley's play. They got mauled in the run game and once again a CB (or two CBs yesterday) got exposed as exploitable.
If we had anyone else's O-line, we'd be undefeated.
Purdy has a noodle arm and is a turnover machine. He would be a terrible fit in Iowa’s passing scheme.
Am I wrong?
Yeah, the o-line causes Stanley to throw high, behind, and over receivers. Audible into bad plays. Read blitzes, and stare down receivers. The o-line is not good but we would be undefeated if Stanley makes plays. As much as it pains me to say, Purdy is a huge upgrade at QB.If we had anyone else's O-line, we'd be undefeated.
Bench Stanley for Brady? Never happen with Ferentz.Because it’s not real life. If Iowa had Taylor, if Iowa had Young on the other side of defensive end, What if Iowa had Tom Brady?
The only point of this thread is to disparage Nate Stanley.
Probably 31 to 35, can’t see us holding them in the 20’s. Their D is pretty banged up right now but most teams have read the book on the Iowa offense and know how to limit our production. How many would OK lay on us in Norman?

PI above. Iowa needs a dual threat QB, look how good they did with Beathard and Banks.
This is a major point. You see it constantly, except for us.How many times have things broken down and Stanley scrambled for a first down extending the drive? It’s frustrating to watch other teams do this on the regular
I'd take the ISU coach Campbell and his offensive scheme/coaching..that guy puts up points and gets skilled athletes at a program that has been left for dead for 20 years..
ISU is not Iowa, Campbell would kill it here.24-23 overall. 16-17 in conference. But hey the guy puts up points.
ISU is not Iowa, Campbell would kill it here.
Keep Parker. How do you think Kirk would be doing at ISU? LOL
The Oklahoma D has given up 90 points in the last two weeks and they are the best team in the conference. No way Purdy looks as good against the the defenses in the B1G.
Believe Klatt if you want to but the the B12 bad defenses is not a myth. That is a myth. OU defense hasn't been good, but say they don't play d in that league is not true. In the last two bowl seasons they have held all of the bowl opponents to below their scoring averages. The myth arrived from the Big 12 as being the first league form 2006 to 2012 to adopt the uptempo spread offenses. Non blue blood schools with coaches like Leach, Mangino, Pinkel, Art Bryles, and Gundy came in with these offenses. They were hard to stop, they don't rest between plays, there are more plays per game, in some cases over 85. You can't sub against uptemo spreads a lot of the time. Because defensive players were playing more snaps, the cumulative effect was more injuries. When out of conference teams would play against the Big 12, their defenses got lit up too, it doesn't mean the Big 12 team won the game, it just means it is a different style of football. If you look at pts per play the last couple of years, the Big 12 does fine at defense. And besides, the scoring is going down in the Big 12 anyway, a lot of the teams are going to a different style of football now. And also if you noticed, now that the rest of the country as adopted zone read spread concepts into their offenses, the scoring is going up in all the other leagues. Joe Klatt really sounds off on this topic and again, they whole Big 12 doesn't play D is a myth, Joel has the data and stats to back it up.
You mean the O-Line with two NFL tackles and an NFL prospect at Center. Clearly it’s coaching and play calling. If we had anyone else's O-line, we'd be undefeated.
If you think Purdy is terrified of contact, you are either nutso or you haven't seen him play much. Coaching staff has been pounding him since last year not to take hits. His natural instinct, as shown last year, is to run for every yard he can get. He won the UNI game because he isn't afraid of contact.Did you see Purdy piss all over himself against Okie State?
