Payton will go down as one of my favorite Hawks. He had his flaws, but those came from caring too much and trying too hard to put the team on his back
Pryce is a decent player, developing into a good 3 point shooter, but, yes, he is an example of the problem with the program. Lack of strength and toughness that is neededI don’t claim to have watched much Iowa basketball this season, but why people are enamored with Pryce is somewhat perplexing….based on my small sample of viewing he seems to be the poster boy of what Iowa basketball is right now……

you know they'll most likely be in the NIT right? That was the perfect Iowa defensive "effort" to close out the season. And, hopefully, the final game of the Fran era.
Agreed - it sounds like a new coach could probably make him a more complete player. He and Harding could find their niche if a new coach can infuse some more athletic/stronger players to the roster…Pryce is a decent player, developing into a good 3 point shooter, but, yes, he is an example of the problem with the program. Unfortunately yes… I really hope we don’t take home and hoist another NIT Participant banner for the CHA rafters though…😬you know they'll most likely be in the NIT right?
Bobby questioning the refs integrity
IF there's a home game, $5 tickets & $2 beers. Someone should demand it!Unfortunately yes… I really hope we don’t take home and hoist another NIT Participant banner for the CHA rafters though…😬
We've had teams with better overall and conference records fail to receive an invite. It is within the realm of possibility...but certainly not necessarily likely.you know they'll most likely be in the NIT right?
I wouldn't put much money on Iowa going to either post season tournament, Beth could end Iowa's season and fire Fran as soon as tomorrow, we'll see. I don't want to see another Iowa game coached by Fran McCaffery, It's time to part ways! He's had 15 years to prove that he can coach, I've seen enough....NIT NIT NIT, let's f'ing go win it!
True, but a pretty good showing to end the season. I believe 3 quad 1 wins in a row before being eliminated?? We'll find out next week. We've had teams with better overall and conference records fail to receive an invite. It is within the realm of possibility...but certainly not necessarily likely.
It would be a great conversational piece for someone’s man cave…😉IF there's a home game, $5 tickets & $2 beers. Someone should demand it!

That last sentence would make for a great sig! We've had teams with better overall and conference records fail to receive an invite. It is within the realm of possibility...but certainly not necessarily likely.
I think Fran may have quickly flipped him the bird.Wildly inaccurate
Half the players could flex their arm(s) and no muscle would show and they play like it. If you are not working on strength, conditioning, agility, etc. you are not serious about competing in the BIG. Defense and rebounding take both.Pryce is a decent player, developing into a good 3 point shooter, but, yes, he is an example of the problem with the program. Lack of strength and toughness that is needed
Works better than TrazadoneBaseball season is right around the corner!
Man, I hope we see a new coach next year. Be nice to throw a ton of support behind whoever it may be. Just like before.Frans coaching philosophy in full display. Score 90 and hope it’s enough.
What do you think? 🤔Random question...do college teams win a lot of games when you give up 100+ points?
A healthy Owen Freeman might have helped a bit.men vs boys. Good effort, size, strength, athleticism mismatch.
Give Hawks credit for playing hard but you can't give up that many offensive rebounds + not guard + fight the refs.
Those refs were a joke. You cannot expect a shorthanded team to win 3 games in back to back to back days. Great effort, but the teams flaws were very exposed on the boards & the refs had it out for Fran. They colluded & probably thinking this may be Fran's last Big10 game, let's F him tonight!
That is unbelievable.Astounding stat:
Only one Iowa starter went to the free throw line today. And only two other players shot free throws....only one of which sees regular minutes.
Meanwhile every Illinois starter and two reserves had trips to the line.
Iowa was 5-12 in the last 17 games,True, but a pretty good showing to end the season. I believe 3 quad 1 wins in a row before being eliminated?? We'll find out next week.

Not tomorrow my friend relaxI wouldn't put much money on Iowa going to either post season tournament, Beth could end Iowa's season and fire Fran as soon as tomorrow, we'll see. He did. Very quickly, but he did.I think Fran may have quickly flipped him the bird.
Proves that no one is above the bird.He did. Very quickly, but he did.
Traore and Dembele combined for 6 points. Come on now!
