Iowa No Longer a Swing State

As much as this state has trending towards red since 2016 the Democratic Party of Iowa has done an absolute shit job as a party here. It seems like they are putting all their marbles in the Rob Sand era whenever that happens.
Rob will get hos clock cleaned in any election that isn't state auditor. He knows it or he wouldn't have picked auditor as the place he could win

I agree. The “Dems” in your family should consider it a lost cause to try to share “common sense” with the MAGAs in your family.

It’s like pounding your head against a brick wall.
It's definitely the other way around. Who in their right mind encourages/supports toddlers attending drag shows? Liberals, that's who...

Never been to Keokuk. There are others also.

Cedar Rapids and basically every town within an hour is full of people that are nice and would help if a stranger needed something. Anamosa, Monticello, and Vinton are all nice places.

The one area that is a real shit hole is the Quad Cities. The people there are assholes similar to Jersey and Boston. Also, their pizza is dumb.

I know many nice poor people. Cedar Rapids is a dump.

You cannot possibly believe JB is making any kind of decisions on his own, N F W

Ice cream flavor....maybe butter flave
On his own? No, I can guarantee he isn't doing it on his own. I know he is talking to experts and advisors and then making well informed decisions based off of that information. You know, like any responsible and successful adult in an important decision making position should be doing. Not whatever the hell that clownshow Trump put on for 4 years was.

You mean like Afghanistan and the border bro? Wait...the covid?

Presidents have advisors.

Outside of DJT, most are likely heavily influenced by them.

Bush2 certainly listened. That's how we got so heavily involved in the ME.

The Radical Right is spreading fear porn, as usual. Harris would make an adequate President.
Your last 2 sentences...I might need to jump parties.

No doubt 99.9% of Republican voters in this state wouldn't vote for their local dogcatcher if he was a convicted felon. Yet here they are tripping over themselves to support (and likely vote for) a convicted felon for president of the US. Cult following obviously has no bounds!

Blown up charges are something people can see through, Sorry you cannot.

So like Trump, you're saying the trial was rigged, the judge was corrupt, the jury was tainted, and Biden was behind all of this? Not to worry though, after this trial Trump has reduced his total felony charges down to a mere 54!

The DA and the judge, yes absolutely.

Afghanistan was Trump's mess that he left for Biden. But obviously cause-effect relationships are just beyond your ability to understand. I mean, you are trying to blame him for Covid now too? As I said, lay off the crack pipe.

Ofc they were always there. I grew up in small town white Iowa. I know firsthand that they were always there.
I love it when they say they aren't racist right before they say something racist. I'd say it's worse today. This happens when you let the state do a massive brain drain. You're left with the rural idiots. Those rural idiots run the state.

I don’t think it’ll end up that big but it’ll probably be at least 15. To Bruno’s point, the Dem party here is an embarrassment. To add to that, lots of factories and plants have closed so union jobs have disappeared.

The key to Dems being competitive in Iowa is not the urban areas. They need to lose rural votes by like 20 instead of 40-50 like they have been.

Politically we’re closer to Alabama than Wisconsin.

I'll agree the rural areas are. Dumb, dumber and getting dumber. Closer to Mississippi.

WHO radio and Stupid TV blares everywhere.

Maybe this is your point, and the DNC sees the same thing... It seems like it would take a massive change in the Dem strategy to win rural voters in any significant number.

Maybe they've just pulled out deciding it's not worth it. As is, Dems just don't offer much for the rural voter, spending more time disparaging them and essentially wishing them out of existence than trying to win them over.
As we have seen with many of the posts from left leaning posters on here.

If I was a Dem I wouldn’t worry that Biden is losing Iowa. I would worry that Biden is losing Iowa by 20. If that is True Biden is also losing in Wisconsin.

You're comparing Iowa to Mississippi???

Mississippians would be embarrassed.
