Cant't have too many Eppys in your program, big kid already will he be as big as AJ?
Didn't AJ say watch out for Iose as he thought he would be the best player in the family? Wow..
6' 3" and 228 in 8th grade?!?!?!Not sure when both profiles were last updated but here's a comparison:
I was wondering what was taking so long.
And also, holy crap, "From Lincoln Middle School, Epenesa won the eighth-grade shot put with a mark of 49-0.5. He won by nearly four feet. In the discus, Epenesa unleashed a mighty throw of 162-09 to win by over 38 feet."

I wouldn't read too much into it. He's being respectful to all the programs that are offering right now, as he should be.
The 6-3, 228 lbs for Iose is from the Rivals Camp in Indy last month, so accurate and recent. Not sure when both profiles were last updated but here's a comparison:
62%What are the odds KF is still coaching when Iose is ready to start college?
If KF maintains good health he’ll be around til at least age 70. He’s not going anywhere for a bit

I have zero information of an inside nature on this. I would say Iowa would be among the favorites, but some kids want to chart a different path than other family members. Iowa certainly got in early enough here.
I figured that he was so far better than anyone else, they didn't hand out 2nd place and moved everyone down a slot.
I keep glancing at this thread title and thinking it says "Lose Epenesa". And it makes me sad for some reason.
I read the thread title and I thought we lost him to another program. I thought it said Lose not Iose.
Iose's numbers above as an 8th grader. Shot would have been 19th in Drake relays for high school. Discus would have been 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He definitely has skills.170 feet (on May 10) is his all time best in the discus. This broke HIS previous record.
49’ 1.50” in the shot put (May 22, IL JR High Elite Track & Field Invitational)
I imagine that AJ's stats were as a high school junior since he's wearing his Army AA jersey in the picture. Younger Eppy is an 8th grader so......Not sure when both profiles were last updated but here's a comparison:
