Iowa opens at -17

Why is there a 2nd number next to the line?

That is the "money line". This is a type of betting line which lays out the amount a player must wager in order to win $100.00, or the amount the player wins on a wager of $100.00. There is no point spread or handicap in this line. In order to win a moneyline bet, the team wagered on simply has to win the game. Payoffs are based on true odds rather than fixed odds. The amount the player lays or takes may vary from game to game.

I would take Purdue and the points but I'm almost always wrong so we should be okay.

BTW I don't think we've been covering for the most part have we?
Iowa is 6-4 against the spread this season.

Purdue has Dumb and Dumber chances at winning this game.

And since Iowa is our former hated rivals....

I like taking Northwestern to beat Wisky...and getting 10 1/2 points...

Iowa winning by 20 would be difficult given Iowa's desire to run the clock out and punt when ahead...

Of course, a couple of pick six plays and all changes...

I said I would take take the POINTS and Purdue. Did you miss that? (19.5)

No. Just wanting to get some of our storied, historic rivalry going again.....even if we aren't protected rivals anymore.
Now go get busy with your Separated At Birth photos!

Thanks.

On the main page of that site it has Iowa -21 then a -10 next to it. What is that?

I was a bit surprised on the spread of the Wisky/NU game. Not sure they have Clement back. Lots of points. Also I don't think Wisky has beaten a team w a winning record.

I think you may be seeing -21 -110.

That means the line is Iowa by 21. You have to bet 110 dollars to win 100. This 10 dollar loss is "the juice" that you have to pay the casino for the pleasure of gambling with them.

Iowa should cover this spread. This will be a good game to get Beathard some rest because Iowa should be able to run for well over 200 yards and I wouldn't be surprised if they get about 300 on the ground.
